Back to a Ritter.

The Ritter mini has several times kicked a Seb out of my pocket. It's a knife that if it was my only knife, I'd be fine with it.
. I couldn't agree more.

It's quite a testament to the Ritters to hear that they have kicked a couple Sebenzas out of pocket :D

I'm telling you man. I love my seb but it has not seen a second of pocket time since I got this.

In some ways reading this makes me feel better. I have been going back and forth over finally getting my first CRK knife for a long time, and now with the Inkosi, they offer a knife that is almost exactly the same size as my all time favorite knife, the Mini Griptilian... It goes without saying that also include the Ritters.

I have ten Mini Grips in various forms, and I am happy enough with them, it makes it really hard to stray to a CRK, even though I know they
are a great knife. My last purchase was a G-10 556 and it is a great knife, and I honestly can't find anything to complain about. They did
a great job on these knives.

Even if a person buys a Ritter and spends $100 on aftermarket scales, they still get a hell of a knife for around $250

I know there are people who live and breath CRK knives, or other good brands, and that is great. In all honesty I feel the same way about BM. I've been using them for roughly 18 years or so, and have owned a lot of different models, and I just flat like their knives...
Doesn't mean other brands aren't just as good or better, it's just a personal thing

You make a very valid point here. Let me add......

I love the Sebenza and its really hard to beat, but............its not the end all be all knife. Maybe if it had PD1 or CPM20CV steel. But the truth is, there are many other knives out there that are just as good if not better depending on your needs.

I absolutely love the Insingo Seb and I will never sell mine, But the Mini Ritter with the wilkins scales have turned this knife from a 125$ to a 400-500$ knife. It has an amazing steel, perfect size, and the wilkins allows for my XL/XXL hand to have a 4 finger grip. It is perfect for an EDC Knife. I say stick with what you like and try a seb out when you have the extra funds to test the waters. Worst case, you can make your money back, or close to it on the exchange.

I will have to try one eventually just so I can truly experience the knives for myself, and see how I feel about them. No doubt the quality is there, but there are other makers who also offer good quality, and many times for less $$$. Much like the example you used, so I have to ask myself, how much of what you are paying for with a CRK is for the name ? I guess the same can be said for other knives of similar quality, in the same price range though...

I keep saying I am going to, but I still have yet to try Wilkins Grips. You would think after all these years of carrying and using Mini Grips, I would have done it a long time ago :D

Very nice looking orange Ritter Wilkins you have there, grips look awesome.Enjoy.

You definitely need to experience a seb. I will say that it took me a few times to find one that I thought was perfect and wanted to keep it. I went through a few of them until I landed on a Large Insingo.

But i think a mini with wilkins is about the perfect knife for EDC.

Thanks I appreciate it.

This thread needs more Ritter Pics. I'm slacking.

If you add up the cost of the grips and the knife it's really a $260 knife vs a $130 knife!

It's about carrying different knives for me. The Seb is a great knife, but I own a lot of other great knives too that deserve pocket time, and I feel credit is always deserved where it's due. The Ritter has a gorgeous blade and comfortable scales that I don't worry about taking a beating in a lightweight package. Life would be boring carrying the same knife everyday although much more friendly to the wallet. ;)

Totally agree buddy. I like having knives to rotate through. It's only a matter of time before I toss the seb in the rotation for a day or so here and there.

I'm a little boring I guess. I will carry the same knife everyday for a couple years at a time, even though I have plenty of others in the drawer.
I get in a rut, and I've never been good at change :D

I love bright orange as a scale color in pictures even though I've never owned one and don't know if I ever will lol.

I was on the fence about orange knives until I bought a praetorian with it. I fell in love. It gets dirty easy, but always cleans up so nice.

How heavy are the titanium Wilkins grips? I love the look of the fire-anodized version, but I don't want to end up with a pocket brick like my ZT 801 (larger knife, I know).

I have the Lg and the Mini Ti Wilkins on the way.My Lg is on the heavier side as the titanium frame is quite thick. It feels excellent in hand and I don't notice it in my pocket. Definitely confidence inspiring

Nice

I've got a black Mini Ritter. I went with black anodized aluminum and red backspacer for mine.

The 555 has G-10
