Bad Attitudes

I just have to chime in here because Phillip may be fairly new to knives but he is one of the best guys I've ever dealt with on these forums. I'm not in any way getting involved in this but wanted to be a character witness for Phillip. I wish EVERYONE here was as pleasant as Phillip was to me. Thank you my friend! :)

Phillip Doss (aka notdos) is not new to the knife community any more. This is a year-old thread that The Bad Guy brought up from the archives -- probably because he found it in a search and didn't notice the date. Nobody ever looks at the dates.... :)

My bad. I was looking at the active members online and followed a link to this thread. I did look at the date Cougar. If you look at the post above me, you will see it says 6-19 I just didn't notice it was 6-19-2002 :D

same thing happened to me,,,was new to knife collecting and expected some help and assistance from someone i considered and expert in our chosen field,,,was belittled,,,spoken down to and asked why i hadn't bought the the knife i asked about 20yrs ago,,,i choose to let it go and formed some kind of relationship with this guy,,,or so i thought,,,he then reeled me in,,,because of my naievty,,,sold me a signed edition of the chris reeves green beret knife without the signatures,,,when i pointed this out to him he just pointed to the trademark stamps on the blade with this are you blind look on his face and away i went because i respected the guy for his superior knolwedge in knives,,,then i see the real thing on knifeart a few months later,,,ok i'm a muppet,,,he had me over,,,nice one,,,since then i have spent thousands on knives,,,this prick will never get another penny out of me,,,EVER!!!,,,i must point out i'm in the U.K. so my options over here are a little limited,,,i'm a lot wiser know and the money i spent was well worth the lesson,,,but just do your homework before parting with your hard earned cash.
