I sent my payment in money order (he did not accept Paypal) on 20 November and he acknowledged receipt of my money order on 1 December. By the 17th I still hadn't received the knife so I sent him a chaser asking for the tracking number. He said that he was on the road.
On 22nd he said that he was checking with the Post Office. He did not give a tracking number. On 28th I chased him again. The next day he said he was still finding the package himself and if he could not resolve the situation he would send me a refund. Later that day he said that one of his customers told him that he had received my knife in error. He would go to that customer to get my knife and posted it to me. I then heard nothing from him ever since, despite my various chasers in January. My last chaser was sent on 5 February.
In view of his complete silence during this period I am now convinced that I had a sour transaction and I am sharing this with you so that fellow brothers are aware of this crook.
As I live outside the States I am afraid that there is not much I can do to get hold of this man, much less the knife that I paid for. Moral: when someone insists that he only accepts money order you have to be careful. :grumpy:
