Bad experience W/Blade HQ

Your MSRP's are wrong. They made you an offer you did not like I'd say it's time to move on.

I know all of you are probably going to get angry at me for this but i need to say this. I contacted Blade Hq with hopes of trading a knife with them, its a knife i took alot of pride in ironicly it was the Spyderco Pride I asked them to trade and not only did they insult the knife but also my inteligentes. This annoyed me because they went on Ebay and said its only worth 40$ well... that was an auction that was started 9 hours ago (at that time) and there was a reserve on at 150$. Ik you all are thinking the MSRP was 24$ but look at the Dodo the MSRP was 40$ and now the originals are going for 200-300$ He said i didnt know anything about knives (I am i knife maker-collecter-ADDICT) Surely i know more than some about knives. well i just needed to get that out there.

Who did you talk to (name please)? I showed this around an no one recalled talking to you about the Spyderco Pride. I'm sorry you feel you were insulted- you have my apologies for that. But here's the bottom line- people can't call up asking us to buy or trade a knife and then try and tell us how much we have pay them for it. This is actually a pretty common occurrence and it just doesn't work that way. If we want the knife we will make an offer and if it's not an offer to the customer's liking they move on. Easy as pie.


I don't like Blade HQ either, but that is because they don't ship to New York State!

Come on, get the facts straight. We don't ship to NY City. And I promise if you had been personally butt-raped by the DA you wouldn't ship there either. :cower:

I didnt say what i wanted them to play i asked what they would trade and they said nothing. Then they told me that i didnt know a thing about knives. I think his name was Jason?
 
For pete sake give a man a break about misspellings. I worked all night last night, cmon guys.

I'll never understand this thought process. I often see people acting like they're owed a certain price, and it annoys me to no end. A business is there to make money, and if you don't like their decision, go elsewhere.

It doesn't sound like BladeHQ did anything wrong here. FWIW, I've always had good experiences with them.

It annoys me too i didnt say they owed me anything.

It's actually "frustrated".....

Blade HQ is one of the best knife dealers there is and to be quite honest I don't believe you. I think you took them not wanting your knife as an insult if you even spoke with them at all.

I have a 1978 Ginsu knife I'll trade for your Pride! It's a little beat up and the plastic handle got melted when it got set on the range burner, but the knife still works great!

If you refuse this trade, then I'll get upset because you are being rude to me. C'mon, take the trade because it is inteligentes!
 
I think this thread has ran it's course. And let's remember this is blade forums not spelling forums.
