Bad Experience with Fourboysplus

Odog27 thanks for your input!! It's great when people with ZERO feedback as a seller give seller advice. Thank you.

Odog27, likewise.
This is between the OP and myself along with moderator input. Your comments are nothing more than your opinion based on something as stated you haven't done on this forum based on your feedback.

Wrong again. Every member of BFC has a vested interest in ensuring that the people who buy and sell knives here are honest, trustworthy and follow a few simple rules. With your conduct and history, it's a stain on BFC that you're still allowed to do business in the Exchange.

Maybe you should take Odog27's advice... considering your history on the forums you damn sure need some.

1. You may have believed it was 01 but it was not. Monetary restitution for your screw up is the answer.
2. It is likely the tip wasn't bent prior to shipping, instead happened in transit. A direct result of your crappy packaging. Again you owe monetary restitution.
3. Buyer shouldn't have to "request" a full refund, you should have offered it or a partial refund. After all, you are the one who misrepresented the item and you are the one not smart enough to package a sharp metal object appropriately!
4. Ask if they want a full refund. They said no. Give a partial refund automatically - it is your reputation, or what's left of it.
There are many others here who trade, buy and sell regularly. Search their names and you don't get a page of GBU threads.
You might have had ground to stand on if this was an isolated incident. That is not the case. Don't force the mods to bring down the hammer. Move along on your own accord and get some lessons in common sense packaging.
Thanks!

I dont understand if the seller asks the buyer for a discount or full refund for the problems and the buyers says no...then thats still the sellers problems...I just dont see the logic in there

If as a seller you dont ask to give a discount and/or refund and instead you just go all quiet then that's an issue.....

If proof is given that the OP refused a partial or full refund and he said he was happy with the knife as is then I feel this is just a waste of time and postings like this should only be made when the seller refused to give any options or dissapeared .....

1-As mentioned Diving Saprrows Website ONLY states the knife comes in 01, I 100% believed this knife to be 01 steel!!!
Also in the makers write up he does NOT state any other steel. (See below pic)

2-I was unaware of the tip being bent. I never noticed it or it wasn't there prior to shipping. I cannot say anything else regarding the tip other than the above mentioned.

3-Buyer did not request a full refund!!! Seems odd that he wouldn't if he was so upset??!!??

4-I asked the buyer if he wanted a discount or similar and his response was "NO"

Okay. So, you didn't buy it originally from the Diving Sparrow site. Where you did buy it from states that the steel is 1095 (Bushcraft Canada). So I don't know why you keep using that as an excuse if you did not purchase it directly from Diving Sparrow originally.

As to the whole refund thing I've made my feeling pretty clear on this I'm frustrated about everything that happened and the way it was handled, not with the knife itself. Abe, being the stand up guy he is who backs his product, is actually going to clean the knife up for me. The problem was in the packaging and listing. Also I've attached a screenshot of our texts where you offered your refund and laughed off the premise. How could anyone take that seriously the way you said it? It's like you were ready to pick another fight. And you never offered a discount. That screengrab is actually the very end of our conversation, the only other thing that he states after is that if it was 1095 he may have sold the knife faster which is neither here nor there and if anyone wants to see that I can happily add the full screen I just didn't want phone numbers present.

I don't want to argue over money, because to me that is not the point. It's just the way you handled the situation to begin with. This wouldn't be happening now if it was all handled properly in terms of the listing and packaging to begin with. This whole situation would not exist. Hence, just don't do it to the next guy. List your things right and package it right. I am sharing my experience because that is what this forum is here for to share those experiences and hope they don't happen again to the next person. I am not here just to mouth off and bad mouth someone just because, which is why I include pictures to show what I am talking about. If I say something I like to back it up. I am a pretty chill guy and it takes a lot to bother me. This bothered me, and apparently I'm not the first one.

There you have it. I offered money back and I opened the door to a refund. He didn't want it. Clearly if he didn't want money back or a refund then what more could be done?

I have tried to give this 4boys the benefit of the doubt several time based on the FB section here. Something is not right when your name keeps popping up here. Some one else to add to my ignore list.

It's almost comical the way you keep trying to excuse yourself in this transaction.

To answer your question " what more could be done ", try inspecting anything your selling on the forums THOROUGHLY, you didn't notice the tip was bent... how convenient.

One more thing... DON'T MAIL A KNIFE IN A ENVELOPE, it does not MATTER whether it's padded or not, IT'S STILL A ENVELOPE.

Quit being lazy and trying to save a few dollars on shipping and use a damn box and bubble wrap and tape... FYI most of the boxes at P.O.'s are FREE, imagine that.

Remember anytime you point the finger there is three more pointing back at yourself.

Well if anybody points a finger at me it damn sure WON'T be because I mailed a sharp object in a envelope :D

I'm sure your squeaky clean. As with most posting here LOL.

The knife was as mentioned in its leather sheath and wrapped in a bubble envelope then placed inside another bubble envelope.

Funny thing is people are concerned about the way it was packaged, did this cause any issue or problems?

Wow! This has to be, thee most ridiculous statement, that I've read in quite some time...

How many finger's are pointing at you, 4boys? A thousand? It would really behoove you, to eat a humongous slice of humble pie (maybe an entire pie), do some deep introspection, & maybe try to make some positive improvements, regarding the poor business ethics, you seem to practice here.

@KELAMA shall I save you a slice? Maybe a few other slices for all the sheriffs in town? Just sayin!!!

I ship out my items as I would like to receive them.

If you want to receive expensive items in flimsy envelope that is your prerogative.
