Bad Feeling!

Anyone else have a strage feeling that the its about to hit the fan? I have just had one of those gut feelings for the last two weeks. I got out all my sruvival gear, double checked my BOB, started rereading my survival guides, buying more gear, pulling my money out of the bank, ect...... Am I the only one feeling like this? I dont know why, nothing in particular I can think of sparked it, just have that feeling. Does this seem crazy?

Seriously, as long as you don't totally lose it and start mumbling, "They're coming. They're coming," it never hurts to be prepared.
 
I've been having a similar feeling that things are slowly going to shit for several months now.

One thing I've learned? if your gut has proven reliable in the past, TRUST IT.

Here's hoping we're wrong.
 
I've had a creeping feeling that things are going to hell in a handbasket my whole life. You only have to watch any news show to get plenty evidence of madness. Take it all with a grain of salt, go about your normal business, and quietly store away some water and food. That's my approach.

I'll second that feeling.

The last few years its like everything is just getting out of control. I've been storing stuff I think I'll need, including large amounts of .22 ammo, thread and needles, salt, strike anywhere matches, for trade use. If things get bad, who knows what you can trade some matches or a dozen or two cartridges for?
 
i'm scared now i've had the same thing for the last few weeks, prob because you fuken goverment is so under prepered, and good old perths got soooooooooooooooooo much constraction going on

I think the government shares some blame in that regard as well. Seems to me that their mantra for the war on terror is: "There is nothing to fear but not enough fear".

That comment made me laugh out loud... then I thought about it and it kind of startled me.

It sure does seem like the gov't and media both love to keep people on the edge of paranoia. I won't get into all that, because it just irritates me. Like I said, take it all with a grain of salt and keep an eye out for you and yours.

Good point, same goes for anything that's easily stored and useful. Wanna trade a box of .22's for a box or two of pasta and a jar of sauce? :)
 
You get those gut feelings every so often. Sometimes they're true sometimes not. Buddy if mine called me out of the blue one day and told me he felt I was gonna have a car crash and to be careful, even said to check with my brother cause sometimes these things skip around.

No car crash for anyone I know. All ok. It was nice he called though.
 
Its a good idea to be prepared. Even over prepared. The ones who will be up te creek by events to come are the ones who say "it will never happen." There is something about people that is still predatory, that is still instinctive. My thoughts are, go with it. The times that I thought everything was fine, and nothing was going to go wrong, well lets just say I almost did not make it out alive more than once, that feeling eeks me more than thinking everything is about to go bad...get prepared, stay prepared. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
 
Has anyone ever heard someone say "I was concerned about that, too bad I was prepared"? It seems that we're taught to supress our concerns and stay out of touch with our instincts and if you do talk about this, it's the media's fault or you need meds. It seems to me that 50 years ago, people were putting bombshelters in their yards and civil/human rights weren't just catch phrases yet. These kind of concerns AND manipulations have been around for quite some time. Read "1984" or read "Revelations". Make your own decisions and come to your own conclusions, but always be prepared to be responsible and take care of yourself.

have mate many times the only part of the bible i can sit down and read and u are correct it does talk about the descriction of the human race and i belive this book is being played out right now.

if this is so its only going to get worse for the left behind. an good decriptive book set by tim Lahaye and Jerry B Jenkins has all the stories placed in the modern world, dame its scary to read the impact it they would have on our socity.

many people that i know, both personally and informally, call me crazy.

just plain crazy.

up here in canada many people think nothing will happen cause we're the neutral country. home to many peoples of MULTICULTURAL backgrounds with hyphenated canadian heritage.

i guess having a bob in ur trunk, ur room, ur garage, and that tiny room under the stairs is a good thing as long as people dont know about it (ya never know they might come raid your house when shit hits the roof). :D

all joking aside... yes i have that feeling to. something is wrong in the world regardless of media hype or whatever u wanna call it. perhaps we on bladeforums should start a new world community once the apocolypse happens :cool:

i have enough water and food put away to last me some time. but i have also scouted places where i can obtain said items in case of SHTF ever happens.

also me and a buddy of mine plan to raid canadian tire as soon as that happens.

two truck loads of goodies courtesy of the devil himself! or possibly osama....
who knows....
