Bad Livesay Neck Knife

I just got off the phone with Newts daughter. As I suspected he IS standing behind his product and sending me a new one. My RTAK is done also!!!!! I dont know about the other situations but in mine Newt is a man of his word and is backing his product 100%. I think what we all need to realize is that Newt produces a huge amount of knives. Occasionally one that is not up to his standards will slip by. From what I understand this is few and far between but it happens to everyone that makes a product. The important thing is that he stands behind his product, no questions asked. I never intended to badmouth Newt or his product. I was merely relating what happened to me. If I had to do it again I would still post but probably should have waited for the end result. Which is Newt sending me a new knife. In my case I think things got blown out of proportion and someone fanning the flames didn't help either. I have recommended Newt's knives in the past and will do so in the future. It amazes me that some people think that because I was not satisfied with one knife I should bad mouth Newt every chance I get. Maybe that is the way of the jungle but where I come from you give everyone a chance. I understand that he makes great knives. I never had any doubts. I was just relaying an experience that thankfully turned out good.

I definatly agree that with the volume the man is putting out a bad one will probably slip though. Hey, stuff happens.

There are also plenty of reasons an order gets behind; the stag doesn't arrive, the electricity goes down, medical appointments (planned and unplanned). It happens and suddenly you're a day behind.

I do believe from all the positive posts I've have read about the WKC and Newt,over the past year, speaks volumns to the mans integrity and desire to provide a great product at a reasonable price. -Brian
 
A happy ending to a bad story.

All I ever ask is for someone to go directly to the source, face to face, when there's a problem. Then if the source refuses to do right it's time for nailing the bastard in a public format.

I'm glad everything worked out.

I knew Newt to be a man with great integrity and it bothered me when all of this came about in this manner. Maybe I over-reacted, and if I did, I express my sincere apologies to those I offended.

As far as I'm concerned it's water under the bridge and I'm ready to get back to doing something productive
