I'm long over due in posting this. Beware of a guy named Roy Walsh that you may see at gun and knife shows in the Midwest area. I bought a knife from this man and he turned out to be a shyster posing as a legit maker. To make things easier I'm just going to post my email traffic that I had with Ryn of RDWKNIVES. Read from the bottom up. I'll edit out the email addresses and anything else that may be questionable to post here since I didn't tell Ryn I was posting this.
This was my 12 yr old son's choice at the show. I told him I would add an equal amount of whatever he wanted to spend. Of course he wanted to spend the whole $100 he had in his pocket so we were both out a C note in this purchase.
Hey Danbo, remember me and my son showing you this knife? I remember the look on your face when you scoped it out. You didn't say anything but I could tell you were thinking "What a noob purchase!"
. I ended up trading my boy a nice Snakewood GEC for it - Daddy taking the hit for his son
.

Kurt,
The link did work and those are not my cards or my knife. Leroy Walsh has bought knives from me but again this is not one of mine. Sorry about the knife you bought not being worth what you paid. I stamp all of my knives RW on the blade which thanks to this info will now be changed to RDW. All of my sheaths are designed and handmade from 100% genuine leather. My knives are designed and handmade completely by me from scratch. Let me make it clear that we have no agreement for him to be advertising my website as his own. I have never met the guy and I live in New York. I am going to contact Mr. Walsh regarding this matter. Thanks again for all of the pictures and information.
Thanks,
Ryn

I have to say after thinking about it that he never once stated what his name was and I can't say he actually lied to me about the knife. BUT... when I picked up one of the cards he didn't say he wasn't Roy Walsh. Maybe he had some of your knives on the table and a stack of your cards advertising for you. Anyway let me know if I can help any further. I can send the original pics if the link doesn't work for you.

Very interesting information. I guess I bought myself a nice wall hanger then. This fella I bought it from had a whole stack of business cards made up with your web address and the name Roy Walsh on it. He was a BIG man with a beard as I remember and glasses. Had a young man with him in his twenties maybe that I assumed was his son. The knife I bought had RW badly engraved on the brass guard otherwise it appeared to be pretty well made. I thought it all seemed a bit fishy. If you want to try and track this guy down perhaps contact the stl knife club and inquire about him. His table(s) was the last one in the fist row, I'm sure they have a record of who was where. gatewayareaknifeclub@blabla
You have my permission to forward this communication to them if you feel it may help.
Thanks for getting back to me quickly, I do appreciate it.

Hello Kurt,
My knives are all stamped RW on the blade and I have never made a damascus knife nor have I personally sold at a knife show. I do have one guy that I know of who purchases my knives and also attends shows so maybe you bought this from him. I am not sure what all of the knives are that he deals with but I guarentee you that this is not my knife. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have and I would be glad to answer what I can. Have a great day,
Ryn

Hello, you may remember my son and I buying a damascus dagger from you at the St. Louis knife show. I was hoping you could confirm as to whether you actually made the knife or if it was produced in a foreign country. Let me be clear that I am not unhappy with the purchase just trying to get the facts on the knife. I only ask because the blades on your site look to be of a different style and have higher quality sheaths.
Thanks for your time,
Kurt
