Many of these TV 'chefs' do that and it shows appalling ignoranceThere's a TV chef that uses the edge of her knife to scrape the cutting board. Drives me crazy. I can only imagine what the poor guy who has to maintain her knives must go through...

I do the same Alan, I just say, "What do you want to cut?" Then if it's not something completely stupid, (which it sometimes is), I do itJackJack Black The only way around that is to carry a piece of junk or my way is to answer "why, what do you need to cut?" and then cut it myself.
