This guy sold me a Strider SMF on Feb 11th and repeatedly made promises on when he was going to ship the knife but never did. He even told me at one point that he had shipped the knife but left the receipt in his truck and was unable to send tracking. A few days later he admitted that he lied. At that point we agreed on a refund which he never sent. He told me several lies about how he was going to send it at particular times and made up excuses about friends getting sick and killed and whatever else which was absurd considering the amount of times he told me that. Well after opening a Paypal case and having to escalate it I finally received my refund but not by him. Paypal reviewed the case and gave me my refund. Do not deal with this guy. He is a straight up liar.

A great lesson has been made public for all to observe:

HOW to destroy your reputation, show lack of integrity, and display absolute dishonesty in one simple transaction. Way to go Windex!!!!!

And for $275....................................Leaves me scratching my head.
 
Thank you very much, for sharing your very personal negative experience, regarding this "Windex" thief...& he better not, have the nerve to be leaving you retaliatory negative feedback!

BTW: I too, was very close of becoming another victim. on his $275 SMF sales thread. Thanks again, Techno, for the warning. It's a relief knowing, that PayPal, refunded your money. :thumbup:

Thanks for the heads up, just keep crossing these people off my list.....
I have this strange feeling that in a few years there will be maybe 10 people I will feel comfortable buying a knife from on this forum. I hope I am wrong about that...

I also hope that Windex decides to give us a wonderful explanation of why he just couldn't put a knife in the mail, one that doesn't involve ill family members, or limbs that where lost in farming accidents.

The thing is, even if there is some valid excuse, there isn't one for not refunding your money without PP having to do it.

This is what I love so much about people, we never stop doing amazing things, some of us, amazingly stupid things......
 
Simple solution--VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION-
DO the right thing--
Refund money
Deal with private BS issues.

This is truly getting to becoming a steady issue
with folks in here lately??
YOU should not have to go thru all of that to submit a request
for refund from PayPal..
The Seller/Buyer
Should be the responsible party..

I have since October of 2014 ADDED over 20 people to ""Dont deal with-IGNORE LIST"
This is getting truly inappropriate and making others very very leary
to not deal with Ignorance and stupidity
All I can say...
DO YOUR homework.. do you best to STICK with the ""WINNERS"
I am aware that a few of these ignorant people have fairly decent reputations.
I feel..IF ITS too good to be true.
NO MATTER what the feedback..Or if you have NEVER DEALT with them..
STEER CLEAR.

I am extremely sad that a handful of the people that have done this BS
as of the last 6-8 months..Make it appear BF members cant be trusted.?
Simply NOT TRUE....
Perhaps the MODS or SPARK need to gather more info and start bringing down the hammer
on these blatant idiots and handing out BANS??

You mean how his wife's brother's daughter's boyfriend was on his way to the post office with the package when he was struck broadside by a Humvee towing a bradley, both of which ran the red light. Then the boyfriend's car rolled over, landing on it's wheels BUT the package must have flown out the window and landed in the bed of a truck hauling iron ore destined for Ethiopia via Brooklyn BUT could not pay the toll on the Verrazano Bridge so had to make a u-turn but was struck by an out of control garbage truck causing the package to get lost blah blah blah blah.

I might believe that as much as I believe the standard crap some scammers claim. You say you shipped then say you forgot that you had yet to ship only to have the knife never arrive? Yeah, I like my story better!!!

It's funny how all these guys have these wonderful stories.
I admit that I spend a lot of time in the GBU, but there's no doubt it has saved me a ton of headaches, not just on BF but other sites as well....

Where's Windex_ I would love to hear about how his wife was supposed to put it in the mail, but then sent the wrong package to his uncle, who then broke his leg while running over his dog.....
 
Wait, y'all mean everyone doesn't have a cluster of life altering disaster events occur.......every time they sell or trade a knife?
 
why the hell would he do this? Hes been a member going on 4 years with all positive feedback, then burns this guy? Wow. Definitely on the ignore list.

I always wonder the same thing. This isn't the first time we've seen something like that but still you have to wonder why in the world someone would do that? I mean, $275 is a chunk of money but not worth someones good name.

This is the reason why I like Paypal and why using the "Gift" option with unknown sellers is such a bad idea.
 
That's truly unfortunate. Thankfully PayPal stepped up and refunded the money. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a situation with more victims.

I have only had a one bad deal where there was a valid excuse; the seller passed away before sending the knife, but after I mailed the USPS money order.
It took about 6 weeks, but I eventually received a refund from the post office.
 
Where's windex?
