I haven't used a KMG but I got my BIII a long while back(maybe 10 years) and it has run strong the whole time. I got it ordered when they were showing at the Metalworks show in Bellvue WA and the pacakge deal the rep put together was great! Got shipping,the flat platen w/workrest,small wheel,8in serrated wheel w/workrest, and two arms. Way faster set ups than the Burr Kings I was using when I worked at a knife company. Maybe I adapted my knives to the machine's capabilities or maybe the rep set me up right outa the gate but I have yet to call Bader for more gear that I thought I might be missing.....OK maybe another BIII would be a nice addition 
The only thing that would shy me off a KMG is I have little interest in the build it myself stuff. Maybe someday I will feel a little more confidant about wiring up a motor to one and get a KMG for the shop
