Bag of Evil and contents

So the evolution has continued:
Added a (detachable) pouch for a Nalgene SS Water Bottle

More here.

... and another shelter-specific pouch that may be worn down on the leg (or see F.A.G. Rig below).

All of which is starting to make me think the best strategy for continuing is to *gasp;* Start Over  (:o)!!

Lets not even mention (again?!) the F.A.G. Rig (Former Action Guy) that enables the wilderness stuff to tag along while leaving the urban-centric crap behind...

I am working on the official Bag of Evil with SoTech. It will be called the Essential Dispatch Bag and will only be available through SoTech's forum on EDC Central.- George

Keep us updated George, I'd be really interested...oh, I'm awaiting my Shrike from Ryan:thumbup:

Seems like an aweful lot to carry... and one heck of a booty for a sticky handed thief.

It covers almost everything and in fairly decent quantities. I can see how this kind of set up would be great for SAR/Guide/Educator types. Not something I would consider "practical" but definately suitable for specialized application.

Great OP, Mercop and nice rig, River-8.

Not heavy, and unless you use mass transit, how far does the average person carry their bag? It is usually literally within arms reach. Out of the past two weeks I have spend 12 days in hotel rooms. The BOE sits next to the bed when I am on the road. The tritium from the Glow Ring makes it easy to locate. I find myself reaching into during the night for everything from ear plugs to Tums.

Because of the way things are these days I have also started traveling with a SoTech Extended Go Bag as an E&E option. It alone would allow me to TCBY for a few days, but it stays put in the car depending on the locale. Add it to the BOE and I will be in real good shape.

Back to the BOE there are very few things besides the trauma stuff that I don't find myself using all the time.- George

They are sewing the prototype now.

It is not designed to wear while fast roping off the Space Shuttle while whacking tangos, but rather for the man that realizes that he needs to have certain things with him all the time and wishes to do so discreetly no matter the environment. If you are looking for something covered in MOLLE with velcro all over it to decorate with morale patches, you will want to pass on this one.- George

While do not appreciate mercop making fun of my day job, I do understand the need for an understated way of carrying certain items. Luckily for me, Q over at MI-6 whipped me up an invisible two tone leather carry all that is quite nice.

I too will be looking for this bag. Of course I am a bag junkie, but that has nothing to do with it.

Again, it will only be available at EDC Central. I have become more of a pouch than a bag whore. Living on the road teaching and doing lots of different things necessitates that I be able to easily subload my gear based on the needs of the day. This need will be incorporated into the new bag.- George
