Balisong as a user?

Cool, with my experience it wasn't until I bought a 51 that I finally had one that didn't fall apart. When the zen pens started wearing out after a few months of heavy flipping, Benchmade took great care of me as well. Even fixed worn torxs screws for free.

In my first post I stated balisongs below $100 are not worth it. The Kimura is above $100

A word of caution though, there is no warranty for Kimuras.

Above $100 now only because they're out of production. When I bought mine, they were still in the $70-$80 range. Warranty was through Kershaw when they were still in production. I have read that Kershaw no longer honors the warranty on these knives; I'd love to know why they stopped. Then again, I've not read many (seem to recall someone losing a screw/screws once) complaints about the Kimura needing warranty work.

I disagree for edc.
From a practical standpoint
A normal folder will open faster and be more durable.

Even a cheap balisong is about $100 anything below will break in the first month if not week.

Buy a bali because there cool. The lock is overrated.

I find the term overrated overused by those with less experience on a subject. Id put an open and locked benchmade 62 up against anything you got.

The kimura used proprietary hardware specific to it. Its pretty common for kershaw to only keep parts for knives in current production. Lifetime warranty is not always the lifetime of your purchase.
