So I spent some of my weekend out in the boonies harvesting bamboo, but really it was just to get some fun machete time in.

I could say I was testing the condor machete, but that thang doesn’t need anymore testing in my book (large video to follow later!). What I was doing was just plain jane fun! I went out and took a few of my machetes to a bamboo patch and cut down a bunch of the trees for an upcoming shelter. Working on form and function. I found myself always coming back to the tapered condor machete, but that’s not to say that the other machetes (all Imacasa) weren’t fun in their own right!

Great post Joe. Just so I'm clear, which one is the tapered Condor? The one with the slight clip point/black handle (center of 4th pic)?

Good stuff Joe. Looks like those chetes made short work of that bamboo.

I cant wait to try out one of them Condors.

You ever used an Okapi machete? I have one and am very happy with the performance it gave me last year...

Great pics. In the video you look like either you were having alot of fun, or haven't gotten any in awhile.....;)

Now you're making me homesick. That's some good looking bamboo. Mac

Nah, I haven't yet. I've heard a little bit about them here and there though. Do you have the 22"

No I have the 18. Its a sweet machete. If you wanna give er a try man just let me know and Ill send it to you to use for however long you want. Its pretty cool.

OMG!! Almost fell out of my chair laughing...

:jerkit:

My fiancee was mad I wanted to play in the bamboo forest sunday instead of hanging out with her. It was REALLLLY fun.

I'll definitely want to in the future, but not right now. I've got so many machetes to play with right now it should be a crime!

Is that bamboo or cane? I didnt know bamboo grew wild in the states.

Nice pics Joe - Looks like a hell of a lot of fun cutting down some bamboo! Sweet looking 'chetes you've got there.

you were pretty good at taking down that bamboo. if the orcs ever invade, i think that you'll be in good shape. ;)

nah, the machete is only effective on zombie trees.
