Bark River convex grind opinion?

The geometry is usually bang on most barkies for their intended purposes but the varying Hellen Keller grinds have stopped me from buying anymore. After over 10 different knives with 10 different grind issues out of about 25-30 knives bought I'd say it's more than a Qc issue.

She did my Bravo 1........

I only have one Bark River (Bravo 1.25 in 3V). My very limited experience has been that the grind was spot on, it was hair popping sharp out of the box, and has only required occasional stopping to maintain its edge. Its a fantastic all around bush / camp / boat knife.

O

Rather than buy the BRKT, I spent almost twice as much and got a custom bowie in CPM154 off AZCK made by Dusty Moulton.

When you say grind issues what do you mean? I have three BRKs and the Bravo and Bushcrafter are perfect but the PSK in Elmax had a strange recurve that appeared unintended as the bevel of the recurved section was significantly different from the rest.

CM-you make me laugh and that's a sweet looking blade. congrats
thanks, Neal

Bitchin. I also ordered the BRKT Wilderness Explorer in black micarta.

Hey CM...
What's up with the wilderness explorer?
Seems like an odd choice for you...

Never mind bud...
I just read the first page, low key, got it!
I guess I am have become too fixed on dual guards...
it's just the cuts I've seen at the slaughterhouse, bloody hands, being rushed, hating the guy beside you...
just seemed a good reproduction of what to expect.
Though I hardly bled when stabbed in the leg...

Traditional can be tactical too!

You're absolutely right Man, even more so!
Think Sun TZU or, what would S T say? Make knife look small and unassuming, but cut deep and often...
Or something like that...

That is a nice model!
I have a Bravo-1 and like the grind very much, might not be finger loping sharp! But ok.
I am giving it to my niece that lives in the Yukon. She is interested in knives and bushcraft / camping.
I was going to buy her a new knife, but I don't really have anyone else who would appreciate my gear being handed down...
If she continues to enjoy the outdoors, she may be getting a big gun collection too some day!
Thanks for that wild picture Skyhorse!!
They call me Sixx, nice to meet you...

This Bark River knife is beautiful, and is for sure good performer.I have few and theyre good knives, but the one above is on my list now!
