bark river knife company

Here's my first Bark River, a Bravo 1 with Gold Elder Burl that I picked up from "Skinny" with Jagged Horizon Knives at the knife show yesterday in Harrisonburg, VA. The knife itself is fantastic but I think it was those scales that kept me coming back until I could no longer resist. Hopefully this will be the first of several Bark River purchases as I saw a few more that I'd sure like to have.

The sheath is also very nice though I'm not 100% sure of the intended use for the holes in the belt slot. Was thinking they might be so you could lace them up to narrow the slot and raise or lower the position of the sheath on your belt or maybe lash the sheath to your pack along with the outside edge grommets?

Let me know how she slices! Sure looks like a brick of steel, but man that shape just calls to me

Right out of the box it will fillet a sheet of copy paper. Picked up a strop and some compound so while I may not be able to improve on the edge, I hope to be able to at least maintain it.
