Bark River Knife & Tool?

I can kind of understand that and if the choice is between them making knives or fixing their website, I pick knives!

On the other hand, I also understand what the previous poster was saying. Having a website is part of doing buisness these days, and right or wrong, having a broken website does send a negative message about your company (hence the whole point of my original post).

Yep. I totally agree.

WOW! I am new here and had no idea about MS past. I did not try to start a trolling flame war. I just mentioned what he told someone else, and there must be something I am missing. Anyway you can tell I did tell the OP where to get the knives, so I'm not out to bash MS but I am going to try to see what happened other than my story.

Yeah, JoeBob, this is your second troll post regarding BRKT/Mike Stewart:confused: Care to take your issues to the GBU forum, or would you rather eat some Infractions from the Moderators:foot:

Do yourself a favor and stay away from people like Mike Stewart. :barf:

Does anybody here know their production schedule for this year? I was supposed to have a Northstar made by June of last year and nothing yet.

As well their customer service has left me less than impressed. I got a mini and micro Canadian and both were dull with chips in the edge (very small) and uneven grinds. Sent them back under warranty, got them back in a very similar condition with a bill for the service. Having to pay to get my new knives sent back for sharpening and then getting a bill after okaying it with them first is not very good for business IMO.

Yeah, JoeBob, this is your second troll post regarding BRKT/Mike Stewart:confused: Care to take your issues to the GBU forum, or would you rather eat some Infractions from the Moderators:foot:

Isn't that what Esav said, like two days ago? Do you just go around repeating what the moderators say at a later time?

Nope, I just read through this thread, and had just read in another thread where JoeBob had stated something similiar.

I have several Barkies. I have also talked and dealt with Mike Stewart on his forum and on the phone. He has always treated me fairly, and has, imo, made a good product. I know some here have problems with the man or the company, but I can only speak from my personal experience, and there have been no problems.

Thanks for the update 1Tracker. I'm looking to pick up a Gunny, PSK, and Little Creek this year. And a Golok. And a Bumble Bee. And a Teddy. And an Aurora. And a..... :D

Are they really making a khukuri? Wow, have to see that for sure.

(Actually, guys, 3Guardsmen is right. The man slipped up, got his warning, that's it. Pointing it out in a discussion forum isn't necessary, it's a distraction from the discussion.)

I agree they would be better off scaling back their website to just a few pertinent pages with links to their forum presence and dealers. More of a calling card website. Someone could that in an afternoon.

Theonew.. That is a damn good idea! The website could then direct people to where the actual accurate information is obtained :)

BTW.. nice to see you :)

Do the Mike haters interview everyone that you deal with in your life?

I bet all of you have kissed as$ to people that you know nothing about.

Everyone has a past.

Are any of you willing to have your personal stuff put on the web?

Business failures are tricky. All of the past problems are not documented in detail.

So NONE of you know the real truth.

His knives will outperform 99.9% of all the knives most of you own.

This is true.

I hope that all of you will be freed of your bitterness and guilt.

Mikes' company is doing well, he is happy, his family loves him and he has a very LOYAL following.

He isn't bitter.

A major sign of weakness is slamming someone for their past.

Man-up and get out of the gutter.

In the end we will all be judged.

Mike has been great to me.

Hey, Okbohn, or other-

Any idea about the Kukri? Steel, etc? Not that I need one, but WOW, a Bark River Kuk would be amazing!

Nope, I just read through this thread, and had just read in another thread where JoeBob had stated something similiar.
I watched him crash and burn "elsewhere". It was entertaining. All brought on himself as well.

I am with Brian, (Sarge666) . You can take 100 knives in a similar shape and design to a chosen Bark River, do all the testing, beating, shaving, slicing, batoning etc...it will beat every single hollow grind, will hold an edge that is EASY TO SHARPEN...not some wicked awesome mall ninja uber fanatical steel that you need friggin adamantium plates to sharpen it on...it will take LATERAL side stress...read TOUGH...what more can you possibly ask for? There are a select few knives out there that will equal the performance of a Bark River. None will beat it overall. I have reviewed, beaten, sliced, diced, chopped, whittled...you name it with over 70 different Bark Rivers. There is a reason I bought or traded for 69 more after the first one. Think about it.

I can't say it any better than these two posts.

I will add that I've used and abused lots of knives in harsh environments, like many of you, and I've decided that Bark River makes the best production knives for the money as you could ask for. Their customer service is second to none.

I'm pretty inclined to dismiss all this "I've got a friend who knows a guy that said this about whoever....." its all a bunch of crap. I make my decisions based on what I've experienced personally, like any real man should. Taking some strangers third or fourth hand account just seems ignorant to me. Just my two cents.

The knives will speak for themselves.
