What is the best brkt knife?

I'm think i'll be buying the Aurora LT cpm3V but i'd like to know if one of the other brkt knives is better in your opinion. The Aurora seems like the best all rounder.

And is there a difference performance wise with a 3.75mm and a 4.25mm blade thickness.
I use knives that are thinner than both of the brkt aurora models, but is their a good reason to get the thicker one? I'd think that a 3.75mm blade should be good enough from batoning and is probs better for slicing. Am i wrong?

Your going to hear a lot of different answers. Get the one that looks the best to you and don't overthink it more then that. If you buy one you'll end up buying more whether you think you will or not right right now but if it helps my favorite is the gunny but I've alesys wanted an aurora. Watch Dutch Bushcraft knives on YouTube they have some helpful reviews.

If you look at google maps ... you can see huge forests and wilderness across the Netherlands .... that's a normal occurrence in countries below sea level and you have
Top class entertainment

Good luck with that. Buy one. Use it. Buy another one, sell the one you don't like as much, buy a third, accept that you should have sold the second one, but didn't and now you have three. Join a support group (get a gold membership here) then buy a fiddleback and an LT Wright, then get Nathan to make you a custom..... not much you can do really but give in, or get out now.

So like I said in the other thread you need to figure out exactly how you will be using it and then choose accordingly. Aurora in 3v is an incredible knife, the bravo series are a little more of an all arounder. Do your research and take your time deciding. Don't listen to the negativity on here either. Some of these people desperately try and force their opinions down your throat and are pretty relentless about it. The way I look at it is like this. If you like it buy it

Aurora 3v is a great knife. Wish I never sold mine. Only other knife that comes to mind off the top of my head is the Fallkniven A-1 pro.

To answer the op ,the best knife in my opinion is the bravo lt in 3v. But the aurora, gunny, and my 2nd favorite the bravo necker2, are really good as well

Awesome a new guy actually used the search function! Qajaq good on you.

I think new people (myself included) trust the opinion of the experts on here or the current opinion on the matter more then all the other random websites we never heard of that could've been wrote years ago. The best information I found was always on here before I knew what bladeforumns was or was a member. That is what led me to signing up. My favorite threads are the ones where all the "experts" start disagreeing and it ends up being a ten page thread on something like 1095. Good stuff

Issue is that current opinion on the matter is still very much open as controversy revolving around what constitutes warranty abuse (chopping chopsticks) and how they tend to burn their edges when power grinding (noted by Cliff Stamp and others) is still very much alive into 2017.

The free advertising for Bark River Knives saga continues.

To save the unsuspecting traveler some time. The good stories can be true and the video evidence is too. BRK are beautiful and mine works just fine. Maybe yours will too.

Yes, but B.R. whips up some adverse emotions on here and justifiably so. A more informed prospective buyer shall then make a better purchasing decision when presented with some facts. There are always fans and then detractors which is the same case when it comes to any controversial knife maker. When a knife maker is caught red handed many times by using a more inferior steel and then selling it as a superior steel, potential buyers must be aware.

I myself have defended a certain knife maker (based on the quality of their knives, not their other bad business practices) on the Forums in the past and have been hammered over the head by some of the very same folks on here whom I agree with regarding B.R. For me, it has never been a personal issue and I don't see that changing in this instance too: Buyer beware.

The Bravo and Aurora are two of their older models and very popular. As you can see they make them in multiple steels now and normal and light weight versions. Choose the one you think you like the best and go for it. There are so many to choose from frankly. I have always been happy with their A-2 overall. I own a few Bark River knives or ones made by Bark River. Been pleased overall. I suspect you will be too.

Yea I've seen the chopstick video. What I haven't seen was a video after that as to how brk responded to him. I've read one case where someone bought a knife and it was ground too thin and Mike not only made him a new knife but made him two. I've never had a bark river chip on me the 3v or the elmax( which is now gone) all of them have been grounded perfectly except for one where the shoulder on one side was about an eighth inch higher then the other side but nonetheless they would've fixed it or knives ship free would let you exchange it. I can't speak on Mike Stewart but I can speak of the quality of his knives. Any production company is going to let some bad product leave the shop so yea I believe the bad stories of bark river but they do make 30k knives a year and I have only read about a few ppl who actually had problems but there's probably thousands of bad stories from people who have just read about them or hate Mike or love cliff stamp. Bottom line is there are plenty of real videos that show how tough these knives are and how long they hold an edge. They will take a beating with no problems and if by chance you do get unlucky and get one of the bad knives (let's face it EVERY production company is going to have a few bad products leave) they will make it right. No questions asked and that's really all I needed to know when I bought my first bark river. I deal with customers everyday and the one thing that I know is you will only hear 1 out of 100 things a company does right but you will hear everything that they do wrong.

Out of all the Bark River knives that passed through my hands, their Springbok was the best. Great handle ergos and blade shape IMO.

Ok. So you don't care mike stewart is a lying, scamming, thief. He is still actively screwing people over on this forum, but hey he replaced a crappy knife he sold with 2!

I recommend a qtrmstr knife for your folding knife needs.
