Bark River Mountain Man Dagger?

did they tell you what handle yet?

I just sold a couple and am tempted to make the grab...

so many knives soooo little money! :)

I am sure it is a nicely made knife, but I find a double edge dagger to be pretty limited in use and then one with no fingerguards to be totally useless.

No. I thought about asking for one in particular (there is one in red micarta that is particularly attractive) but decided to just wait and see. Like I said, none of them is less than spectacular.

I believe in using the knives I own but am not above preserving a purdy one that's not really useful. In fact, since I have all the users I need I may just change from "accumulating" to "collecting" and specialize in daggers. I have a particular place in my heart for the type since the roots of my knife obsession were formed by spending Tet '68 in Saigon with no weapon but a Philippine dagger made from a jeep spring. I just wish I still had that one and the Irie. Since Mike Irie is from around here there's a good chance one like it will pop up at the area gun shows.

I can understand that. I am not going to try to tell you that I have not had my fair share of limited use knives. Good luck with your collection.

One of you guys has to have it by now??!!

I hope!

Any chance of sticking the tip deep in some wood and doing a little twisty turney? :)

Bark River has a great warranty, right? :)

I just ordered one with the green micarta handle.

Where's yours gronk???

Sad story of the week. After waiting a couple of weeks, I got a notice on my door early this week that a package was not delivered because it required a signature. Two days of dealing with Fedex customer non-service and I drove out to their warehouse and picked up the package. Rats! Not the MMD, but a cheap back pack with company logo as a 1 yr anniversary gift from the company I work for. I PT'd Mike to see what was up and found that some of the winners hadn't checked in yet but they would go ahead and ship, followed by a tracking number, expected delivery today. Tuesday evening I ordered the D-2 Para that SFO had on sale. Thursday I came home at dinner time to find the Spyderco waiting tucked inside my screendoor. So today I run home at dinner just knowing there would be a box full of convex goodness the same way but it was not to be. I checked the tracking on line and it was not deliverable because no one was home to sign for it. Aaaaargh! A twenty minute call to UPS and it was determined that with the holiday weekend I will have to wait until next Tuesday and pick it up at their local facility during my dinner break. Oh well, at least I have the weekend to bond with my new D-2 Para.

What a story! If I have mine before yours there's no justice!

I'll bost when mine comes and I play with it a bit. There's a decent review on knifeforums under the bark river section...think it's a few pages in...this knife cut up some good wood with no prob! I look forward to checking it out!

Mine showed up yesterday, along with a RAT RC4. I will try and post pics soon, but I'm rebuilding my deck this weekend and may be too busy for a photo op.

Beatiful knife though.

OK, I kept my priorities straight and while it was still too early to be using power tools, went outside and snapped a few quick photos.
