Bark River Northstar en route!

Thanks for the suggestions regarding turn around time at the barkie hospital, looks like I will give them a call.

Foilist,
You took the words out of my mouth:D, come on Stretch, tell us how it's done.

hehehe I go to the BRKT website, close my eyes, scroll down the list, and where I click is the one I order! ((( :D )))

Seriously, I only have six now, that's not too awful many compared to a couple of lists I've seen from Barkie owners!! Foilist's interest in the Northstar (along with alot of the member's praise of the knife) got me to looking closer at it and before I knew it I was hooked.

Next? (after some considerable time)
-mini-Northstar in red or maroon linen;
-mini-Canadian in something simple...grn or natural canvas;
-Montana Guide at some point in time;
-another mini-Skinner!!!!!!

When I get hungry for another Barkie, I might try a Lil Nessy. I'm not a big fan of bolsters on a fixed blade, but the shape is appealing.

My next sharp purchases are going to be a Case peanut for "white collar" edc and some kind of small hatchet in additon to the beater I have.

That's a nice knife-clean lines, elegant.What does the sheath look like?

Folist, I was not at all interested in a Lil Nessy until I had one in hand. It is a very useful pattern. :thumbup:

I'm interested in a Mini-Northstar as wel as the full model. The Mini version has an advantage (in my uses) that it's stainless.

Anybody have personal exp. with the Mini-Northstar, looks an excellent compact knife, but then so is my Woodland:D

It is an excellent knife. It is works as a great paring type knife in the kitchen as well as a utility knife in the field. It is a very popular knives in the BRKT line.
