Oh Oh Oh-- so happy for you!

I hadn't realized how sweet these were until seeing one in person; it's a well-proportioned knife, and the non-traditional-to-barlows wharncliffe works well in this particular iteration.

More pictures once it arrives, please. :)

Thanks all, never thought I would find one. Patience is not my strong suit. :o

I had owned Barlows in the past but always thought of them as strictly economy daily carries. I got an email offer for this one and decided to take the plunge. It's a traditional pattern in latest state of the art materials. The blade, liners and bolsters are all stainless, the covers are layered carbon fiber and blue G-10. It is solid and weighty, very solid in the hand, about 6-7 pull on the clip and solid 7 on the pen. It's hard to capture the look on camera but these snaps do fairly well.

I've got the same one Whetrock, plus a smooth tobacco with acorn and smooth white bone, no shield.
All three are not bad at all, with the gunstock having the best w+t plus centered blades of the RR Barlows I presently have.

Yeah, they're pretty hard to beat for the money. I like all of my Rough Riders. Their Barlow makes a great gift, or beater.

Wow. Very nice!

Thanks! The only downside so far is the nick on the clip is a bit hard to reach and, combined with a bit of a strong spring, is harder than I would prefer. I'm giving it a workout so it should loosen a bit if my nails hold out!

I got this off the bay the other day and took it with me today. I hope it is a true Robeson and not a Queen made. Maybe Charlie can chime in.

i need another gec barlow. would it kill gec to make some more barlows, specifically single blade clip point saw cut? :D

Here is an old Barlow that I found for $1.50 in a junk store Thursday in a bowl of knives. Unfortunately, although the knife itself is in decent shape with an interesting patina (and actually sharp) it is also of the plastic handled variety. Imperial Diamond Edge 853DE. Thinking about replacing the handle with something a bit nicer (walnut?). Thoughts on that would be appreciated. Knife needs cleaning, but other than a bit of surface rust and some damage to the tip, it is fairly nice. I think a decent handle and some cleaning would result in a knife one could enjoy owning.

Sorry for the crappy pics. Poor lighting:
