This came in the mail today. It's unused (2 dot from 1978) and a real nail destroyer. It's the most solid feeling folder I have as of late.

Those Delrin Case Barlows are known for testing your manicure, it seems. I have one which may be from the same year (though yours has a much nicer color gradient than mine) and the master clip has shredded my thumbnail a couple times in the year or so I've had it. Strong stamps, immaculate blades, you've got a great find there!

Currently this is technically my first and only Barlow thanks to the very generous r8shell here on the bf ( I just love this knife and it's becoming my new favorite user )

Sometime soon I'll have in my possession an old Chinese Barlow that my grandma gave me.
I had brought it up on the forum because from what I remembered after seeing it once I thought it was a stainless imperial jackmaster. But after having my grandma read the tang stamp I discovered that it's just a Chinese copy (I'll see how similar it really is when I get it ), thankfully this imperial jackmster was offered to me .
For some reason I used to think that Barlow's were ugly, but I think that it was because I wanted a buck 110 so bad that it was the only type of clip blade that I could stand.
Now I love the Barlow pattern and think they really look like a workin' man's knife.

When my dad saw the knife he immediately said that my grandpa used to have one just like it, so that sorta makes me like them even more.

A Barlow is all I carry anymore. I do have a #2 on me usually - a Peanut, Stockman or SAK depending on the day's activities. But the Barlow never changes as my #1.

Absent on the day a TC (Ignore the Jack also in the pic - nice knife but aint a Barlow;)) and a Northfield

Charlie's got his wheels, but I think you might just have the most varied and unique collection of Barlows on the porch. Thanks for sharing!

My carry today, a junk store rescue. KaBar 1013.

So many Camillus/Western, Kabar, and Schrade composite Barlows out there -- could keep the world in cutting tools forever at this rate. I, too, have a soft spot for those little fellas when they pop up. The call of the Barlow is strong...

My Granddads old Imperial Barlow

Love it! It just goes to show that those old carbon Imperials could last every bit as long as the "classic" Barlows when taken care of and given from a grandfather to his grandson. Really wish I had one of my grandfather's old knives, but he died when I was 15 and sadly I was not a fully-actualized knife knut at the time -- I much preferred firing his Springfield 1903 in its original chambering (yes, you read that right -- years later I realized how much I must have been costing him in ammo every time I begged to go out on his ranch and shoot ).

The two newest additions to the 'fam', a mystery Russell in smooth bone and a "Dixon Cutlery Co, Germany" XTRA Barlow which comprises the entirety of a 4th Barlow size tier at 4¼" closed. I am infatuated with both these knives, lots of CF & CE this evening. :D

Today I just received the Chinese copy of an mperial jackmaster that my grandma gave me, and other than having mystery steel blades the build quality is just as good.

Love the old inexpensive Barlows, especially the old USA-made shell-handled Imperials, Colonials, Camillus, Providence, etc. The every man's knife.

Ouch. Thread archived, eh? No love for the non-TCs, I guess...

Time for a bump! O.G. ragg bone throughout the years (hiding on the pile sides):

Wow, those are really great!

I think it's just prevalence. The TCs are some of the only Barlows being produced now. I've had Barlows recently produced by other outfits and they don't stack up, imo.

I finally got the shipment I was waiting for, deltaboy, so I'm going to try to turn around a parcel for you today or tomorrow. I just have to go re-up on some packing materials and get everything buttoned up. Won't be long now.

Knife content:

Betcha it's darn near impossible at this point to obtain one of these fellas with rabbit's foot intact. :D
