D2 with cold treatment and tempered to HRC 62. This is the perfect steel for this kind of knife (IMO) and this is a high quality HT that has been proven to perform. 304 stainless pins. Comes with a nice basic leather pouch sheath.

This has a high thin hollow grind taken to .018" at the edge, which is relatively thin, so it is not for rough use, but it cuts very well and will still withstand some abuse. It will be sharpened for your intended use before I ship.

i have a similar knife from Nathan "the amazing expert knife blade grinder". last fall i field dress a whitetail and then butchered it some days later, all with this knife. still shaves arm hair and push cuts paper with ease. great knife, fantastic cutter, ergonomic (comfy in hand), v. good sheath.
if ya hunt or like to cut up a storm in the kitchen, buy this knife. you will be HAPPY you did ! tellin it like it is, roland

Another beautiful blade Nathan

FWIW, I have one of Nathans "Basic" D2 Drop Point Hunters too and it is anything but basic.

The bevel geometry is amazing, these are extreme slicers ! His D2 HT regimen is time consuming and expensive but the results are impressive. It doesn't get any better. No BS, Fact.

Nathan is undoubtedly a professional when it comes to working with steel. You can see it in his work. In this case its the stuff you can't see that makes this a lot of knife for the money.

Pick one of his knives up, you will not be disappointed :thumbup: :thumbup: You will in fact want another one
