Basque Axe from Lamnia (!)

Hahaha, Don't be so standoffish, I'm asking, it's not even an open ended question. A confident "yes or no" will do.

Footage ? I remember a shotgun lesson with a fine old Englishman. He said put your feet this far apart ,showing me . I said that might be fine for you but with my longer legs I need it this far apart , demonstrating ! We laughed ,LOL. While typical American stance is different than European you still have to adjust to size. He was a very fine coach !!

In the old days an axe man made a pattern that fit him and kept that for making replacements.

I have been trying to get hold of the old "family patterns" to no luck. They seem to have been lost to time.

I am not being standoffish, I am being clear. What does it have to do with what you quoted? You seemed to skip over the question of how tall you are,(important if you are handing out advice on axe handle length) and asked me if there is footage of me with an ax. Odd when put in context of what you quoted.

I want to SEE what you are talking about. I do that for you, I just wanted to know if you can reciprocate.

What part are you having trouble understanding? Perhaps I will put together a visual aid for you. Again, how tall are you? If you are giving out handle size advice based on personal use that is a key piece of information.

You are realistically very new to axes and the proper use of them. You should probably not read my posts, as they are based in a lifetime of experience, they are opinionated, and I am selling nothing.

Somebody needs to let them Europeans know they don't know how to make a splitting axe.

Ten minutes of my life reading this thread that I won't get back.

No splitting axe but we got 96 year old woman who splits wood :)
