Bushcraft tablewear 😁in my experience, swells like that can be great. i carved up a truper handle (which is basically a 1X2" with rounded corners) and it is spectacular. that basque axe aint just throwin chips, its makin dinner plates
That was good stuff, and nice looking axes.
Thanks DbH!
Thanks brother, love a good challenge. But I do love to split alder too hahaha probably just use a hatchet for that stuff. Those Y's are tough to split. It's nice to see an axe put to real work not just used to split straight-grain alder that falls in half by itself.
I have been very tempted to get the 3Kg, got a quote from Lamnia the other day. Given the choice, would you get the larger 3Kg for splitting or stay with the 2.5Kg?
Thanks,
Slim
What?! They make a 3kg? Hell yeah I'd get that one haha.

I was told by the maker, that any of these can be ordered though his distributor. All someone has to do is request the item.

That 1.5 straight bit is screaming pine axe to me. Hanging it on a full size curved handle would be just bad @$$. I think. Ugauldi, sorry I spelled that wrong, had a picture of a Basque racing axe with the slip fit eye hung with wedge.
DeadboxHero...you just got me in trouble. He lives right in my neck of woods...and I don't have a Facebook account. My wife does. Guess who's going to get exposed, trying to get in touch with him?

Oh wait...I know a knifemaker whom I (still) owe a visit...who may know him from a forum he runs...MUAHAHAHAHAHA!
