BATSON'S Thread

Ok Will,
I am riding with a friend of mine by the name of Mike Lamonte. We are going to be there around 1100 Thursday night. I talked to Chuck Robinson today at the meeting and he is going to be there. This will be my first time going to Batson's. I am really looking forward to watching all the demos and hopefully picking up some things that might help me. I cannot wait until the Friday night cutting competition. Hope to meet some of the guys from the forums who I read about all the time. Kinda like putting names to faces.
I hope to have a good time.
Thanks
Bryan Arnold

I'll be there if nothing else comes up. I can't believe it's been a year already since the last one.

Is there any info on who is presenting on what days? Last time I got up there, got the handout on that stuff, and realized I should have gone the day before.

...Oh right, last year it was free, guess I'll have to pay this year. Guess I'll be pitching a tent there to get the most out of it this time. What are the primitive camping sites like?

(thanks for posting the info by the way)

If you went last year you saw them... those areas near the tailgate sales, there's a big shower house/bathroom facility down on that end of the Hammer In.

I should be there around suppertime on Thursday night. ;) Looking forward to seeing you Will, and Charlie too

Charlie, I'll bring the camera and put the super mondo ugly filter on for you.... it's the same filter I use for my knives

Anyone interested in getting together all the bladeforums guys up there? Or just wear a name tag: "Hello, I'm: a bladeforums nerd" :p

Robert that would be nice, If you see a big Japanese redneck, and a chubby guy in over all's just yell,LOL:thumbup:

although I know this is an awesome opportunity to learn, what are the sales opportunities like? I would love to attend, but I would like to know how the sales were in the past and if this is a good sales op or not. Having a limited amount of funds I was wondering if I could make the trip pay for itself by at least breaking even with sales of knives there.

I dunno guys, perhaps we could set up a designated meeting spot? I don't think I want to get the rep "as that idiot with the website name on his tag" I'm sure I'm known as "that idiot". I'm just trying to save people time in describing me.

I would be interested in meeting a few of you guys while I am there. I am not familiar with the place at all, so I wont be able to recommend a meeting spot, but I will be wearing a LSU shirt. I am bald and got big ole ears. Cant miss me.
