Battle Grade Active Duty is up!

At 3/16" thick with a sabre grind, it's a little thicker than I like in a knife with AD's geometry. I was actually hoping for something closer to the Max Duty. If the shop ever produces an aneroxic version of the BGAD, I'd definitely be in. One thing's for sure, however. The price is right. :D

For those who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing Busse SR101, the BGAD would be a great way to start. :thumbup: :thumbup:
 
Yep, just checked the site and it is up now. I'm going to pass on this one. Too close in size to my two AMS's. But then again, the price is enticing! Decisions, decisions, decisions! Wish I had a little bit of Trump's money. Then I could buy all the Busse's I wanted without having to be concerned about costs.;)
 
Can the knife be ordered without blade coating ? I remember this question being asked before, but can't remember the answer.
 
I went with the muddy coat, tan canvas handles. looks like the DC option is gone...
i did see it though... ;)
 
I ordered 3 in Black with Black Canvas. I figured they'd make good Christmas presents. I wonder if there's a good inexpensive off-the-rack sheath that would fit these?
 
Nice. Took a look and decided against ordering. Small knives don't really work for me anymore. Damned cool little offering though.

On the sheath front, I just had two made by a local Tucson guy for 35$. He does good work - CBKydex is his business name, and he might be able to hook you up, John.

Dwayne used to make a simple pouch sheath that would probably work.
 
Oh the quandary. Already have an active duty in infi. Already have an ams in infi. Already have a Swamp rat rodent solution. Already have a scrapyard 311. Already have a basic 3 in m-infi.
The price is right, but I don't feel the need like I usually do. Anyone have some insight?

Sell the AD, AMS, RS, 311, Basic 3 & Buy the BG Active Duty……. ;) :)
 
I got one in my usual Tanker Gray/Tan Canvas, since I missed my chance to get a second Rodent Solution.
I'm looking forward to another small piece of SR101, it will go well with my BG ASH-1.

Mike, looks like the answer is no in this case. However, the coating is not usually that hard to remove. If you're on the fence about this one, you should definitely snag one quickly!

I assume you'll be making sheaths for these then Al?
 
Grabbed three of em, I will carry one instead of a folder, too many things can go wrong with a folder, Should also be great for field dressing
