I saw that statement, as well; and, while it's difficult to quantify such a thing by length of availability, I was hoping to see them gone by now. (Doesn't really matter to me - it isn't as if I bought a bunch for resale.)

I'd say you'd notice more difference between G-10 and Micarta than you would between INFI & SR-101 in a knife that size….. go for it! Might I suggest going with Micarta over G-10 though? I love Black Paper for a knife this size, G-10 tends to put too much weight towards the rear of the knife in my experience for my tastes/uses.
