Battle Grade Active Duty is up!

In! Sage with black canvas, keeping it simple on this one.

Ok Jerry, for real, trying to save for a new bike and you're not helping! ;)

Wish they offered Jungle/Moss Green for these BG's. Appreciate the muddy and sage options though. Have way to many black coated knives and like the variety. Gonna hold out and see whats next. Broke at the moment anyways.

Mike, looks like the answer is no in this case. However, the coating is not usually that hard to remove. If you're on the fence about this one, you should definitely snag one quickly!

I thought the answer was probably no too :D I like this one, but really prefer blades that aren't coated.
I've been casually keeping an eye out for a Magnum Bear Cub and a Game warden, but the price on these is really good. Might have to snag one so I can check them out. Stripping the blade would give me something to do, after hunting season...

We are leaving in the morning. I decided it would be nice to have a couple days before it opens just to kick back. Usually it is a mad dash to leave the day before.
I already have a game plan for this weekend, because the deer and elk have been coming into one particular area, and it isn't that far from camp.

Yeah, this is a pretty good deal. It'd probably be at least $130 more in INFI. Good luck hunting Mike!!!

Grabbed three of em, I will carry one instead of a folder, too many things can go wrong with a folder, Should also be great for field dressing

The AD is a PERFECT deer knife for dressing, caping and jointing. But I'm kinda odd I like a smaller knife for that, too much knife can be a hindrance. I like a larger thinner knife for butchering/storage prep, like a filet knife or Mora, but that is another day. I used a Rodent Solution last year and an ESEE Izula before that. I really believe I will go back to the AD this year, I kinda missed it.

I have an AD in Elmax, but just couldn't resist this one. It is thicker, and I want to try that. Black canvas and a black blade for me.

Thanks. I hope you have a great trip as well... I've never tried the 101 steel before, but the reviews seem good.

That price is phenomenal. It's really competitive with swamp rat blades of the same size yet has the active duty shape to it. Would be a great way for people to get some in hand to see how they like the shape and use it a bit without worrying about "learning" on a much more expensive knife. Then if you love it, find the INFI version.

I am really tempted but 101 steel rust so easily here in Florida. It is a constant fight with my 1311 to keep it oiled well. I love the price the knife but perhaps get one in the exchange Infi

I wasn't actually planning on getting one of these, but for the price I decided I needed to try it. I have a lot of black coated blades so I decided to go with tan canvas and muddy brown.

I went for muddy and sage blades, grabbed a black/ black paper for a good friend. I really thought about passing on these but the price ! So of course I had to have some lol !!
Now I'm trying to decide on pants for these :-)

I have one in my cart with sage blade and od/black g10... I'm just not sold on the sr101... Can anyone push me over the fence one way or the other? To buy or hold out for infi

If you get it and don't like it, someone else will gladly buy it

I'd say you'd notice more difference between G-10 and Micarta than you would between INFI & SR-101 in a knife that size….. go for it! Might I suggest going with Micarta over G-10 though? I love Black Paper for a knife this size, G-10 tends to put too much weight towards the rear of the knife in my experience for my tastes/uses.
