Battle Pappy is in my hand

I love the pappy's coffin handle and guard!! Plus is is about as long as that B11!:eek:

I love the fusion of the busse and the classic Bowie style!!:D:thumbup:

So much that I couldn't WAIT for the Battle Pappy!!

Sweet piece. Does the Tang show anywhere on the handle? What is the connection between the micarta handle and the steel? nice looking Bowie, now about the $$$$$$$$ :)

No to visible tang and this pic sorta shows your answer for the second question.

Poor picture quality here, but it looks like a special screw or rivet that goes into the tang and pulls the handle to the guard. If it was a screw, the center has been ground out so it can't be disassembled with common tools. The handle feels great other than slightly "blocky" for lack of a better word.

Overall, it is very fast in hand, but also blade heavy which reminds one that it is derived from a battle mistress and should be an awesome chopper.
 
HOLY CRAP! Those are much nicer than I imagined they would be. Blasphemy, I know.

So the Battle Pappy's a stick tang i take it. Has Busse ever made a stick tang i don't recall seeing one.
