For any of you hogs that has both or has handled both, if you can have one which one would it be? Thanks.

It was a user yes. I loved it. Great blade and design. I liked it a lot more than the tglb.
Yea man I hear you. I managed to be very lucky and pick up a Battle Pappy. Im down to my last TGLB and it would be financially irresponsible for me to keep both. The Battle Pappy is awesome. It feels great in the hand and its light despite its thickness. But I was just thinking if it would be a mistake to sell my TGLB.

Pappy looked cool, but for me the handles were too small.
I prefer the TGLB for a user.

Que all the Dave Brown = Hell Boy hands quotes :)

Congratulations on your new Battle Pappy! May you two have plenty of good time together.

yup...it would be, IMHO.

I find it unbelievable how many TGLB's were sold and yet when one goes up on the Exchange lately it's gone in minutes <or seconds>.

When a model like the TGLB goes discontinued it seem that it ramps up the demand.

Just recall when Busse Com. Co. shut it down...do you remember how many afi's said stuff like "I wish I'd gotten a couple...I should have grabbed a back up...I waited too long...etc."

I've owned 3 comp. finish TGLB's and always end up liquidating them. About a year back I landed my "forever" CF TGLB...it's officially off the market. ;)

So, it's clear to me it still a pretty strong seller's mkt. on TGLB especially CF & ones with fancy handles.

If you're afraid of selling it...you'd better not put it up on the Exchange!

As for TGLB v. BP in usage ... never owned a BP so can't help out there.

But I will say that of all my Busse's...the TGLB is NOT my go to blade for slicing OR chopping...way too thick behind the edge in my usage with factory specs.

Having said that, I still LOVE my TGLB and have no doubt it would never let me down if it was my one knife option...but as long as I have my pick of the Bussekin litter, gimme a B8 every time for using.:)

haha, yeah I sure did...:o

edited and changed my 2 "R"s to "P"s ... but my confusion with rats & pappys didn't change the import of my post cause I don't have a Battle Pappy either ;)
