However~ it would need to be a new sticky with the rules posted in the first post
then you can surch that thread for what you want or jest browse
find some thing and make an offer or jest contact them ...

if the POWERS THAT BE would let us post a knife for trade here that is ok ...
but then at least in the sale forum post a sticky or sub thread for only buck brand knives ...

i did not mean to hijack a thread or forum ... and evdently the PTB dont think so either and consiter the subject worthy of descusion

AND they are likely watching to see what response this subject gets in order to judge what their response will be as in should they do because there is a over whelming postive reponse to it and if it is worth the work to set it up...

this forum is allready one of the leading forums for buck brand discuson and a sticky here in this buck forum would help cement that repuation as far as buck collectors are concern as thoes in the know would come here to look for what is avabile first and would spread the word !!! ...

of courst it should be limited to buck knives brand~ i mean you know how if it has a deer on it it becomes a 'buck knife' or if it has antler it is a 'buck knife' so the rules in the first posting would have to be clear on that to avoid like listing like on the evil E...

i mean dont you want a place were you could post your your pic's and say that the 3ed one down is for sale or trade for one like the 5 th one down ?

come on lets get on with the the posting / voteing..

A vote every other day by all of us that suffer buck fever!!

~ Steady postings in favor of a "bucks wanted and for trade" sticky and "buck for sale” sticky that keep this request close to the top were they can see it on a quick check of 'hot' threads is likely a very good thing and will show them that it is not jest a flash in the pan "i want" by the buck members!!!
That is why i said of voting once for each member of your family !...

~A posting in favor every other visit or so to this buck forum by each says
"Yes- it is still a good thing I would like to have!"
It will say to them that it is truly some thing that will get the casual visitor to continue to come back here for information and comment and provide an addational outlet to the buck fever suffers ...
~Of course comment by the rest of you as to how you think it would benefit the forum and the collectors would add a lot to the pot to get that sticky!

MOD's have an uncanny ability to let things ride not get to them and let comment continue a LONG time....
Perhaps they are waiting to see how much comment it does generate before deciding if it would be used a lot [a good thing]...
The surprise to me is that we have not heard a hint or clue from the mods yet on this...
i kind of hope their silence is a clue that they are thinking on it even though that silence is very loud....
Hope was that one of them would fill us in on possibilities or chances of it happening... hint hint... before a formal request is made…again more impute may work...

No, its people that love Buck knives and want to trade or buy them not having to wade through the moutain of non-Buck listed items to find one. There are many that only come to this part of the forum and could give a hoot about other knives. We'd like to place a sticky so we can buy, sell or trade our Buck knives. If that is not possible it is likely that we will set something up off forum and then we will be saying By By!

Still the issue hasn't been adressed, do non paying members get a free ride?

Ah, let's see if I got this straight, "I'm not going to pay for the privelege of selling, and if you don't give me a free ride and let me sell I'm leaving"?
 
If you aren't supporting BFC by being a paying member, you are not selling knives on this site. There is a free trade section which you can use, along with a free search which you can use for finding Buck knives in the trading section. However, if you aren't going to help me defray the costs of keeping this place open, you don't get to sell your collection here.
 
well I guess I'm a big dummy.....I tried the search for Buck several different ways in the for trade forum and individual for sale forum...results.....blank page....either there have never been any Buck 110's,112's,124's or Buck /Striders for sale or trade ....or I'm ignorant in the search forum.
So Sparky how many Bucks are we talkin' about to get a Bucks only for sale or trade.

Howdy Spark,
It is truly pleasure to speak with you, I had hoped you would show up.
Yes Sir, I whole hardly agree in the paying members only aspect (!) and I am now a paid member, rather then a registered member. It is not that we want to post for free as that is avabile as you said. It is the thought of maybe making change for the good of Buck collectors and haveing a sticky for ONLY Buck Brand and collectors only were we play.

That the forum is free for registered members is a worthy thing jest as posting with the BCCI members and learning from them with out being a member of that club. As many that are not in professional knife sales or a semi-pro trader or knife maker as so many others are they would not find the disadvantage of being only a free registered member necessary to correct except for gaining access to the cove. I would have joined, if nessary, jest to be part of the buck forum! But many newbees would not. and that is the attraction of this forum is that you can try before you buy in.

However a sticky such as the topic of discussion here would have convinced me a good while ago to be at least a basic or gold member to be able to use a trading sticky in the buck forum as I am sure lots of others would!!! Note : as a hobbyist many like me would not find it advantages to join at greater then a gold membership to use such a sticky posting.

I thus formally ask for my fellow Buck Knife Collector Forum Members ~
if a “wanted ~ trade ~ for sale” sticky for paying members only would be possible to arrange without a tremendous amount of work? Would you be able to offer if it would require a basic or a gold membership to participate in such a thread? Could one of us assist with some of the work?

The first posting in such a sticky would, of course, be a welcome, notice that to post here you have to be at least a basic member and the rules. Of course one would be that it is for Buck Knives Brand only. Cougar, of course, with his thread moving co. would enforce said rules.

I feel that many will be able to offer sujestions for the first posting with welcome message and proposed rules for the “wanted ~ trade ~ for sale” sticky. I am sure you will welcome any addition comment and sujestions and many may be willing to work on a rough draft for the first posting with welcome message and proposed rules for the sticky and post it here so as to garner feedback and suggestions on changes to it.

Thank you and those who help you so much for this play ground and we hope you and the other powers that be find in our favor.

Whether you realize it or not it is the huge numbers of registered members that are here that keeps this forum open. Others may pay, but I can assure you that they wouldn't pay a dime if there was no one here to interact with.
