It's a Kizer Begleiter...about $170 for titanium.I agree withGastonknife above.
Asking a stocking fee by the seller sounds ridiculous; a shipping fee could be discussed. But nagging on an imperfect factory box of a $100ish knife by the buyer sounds to me the guy has too much spare time. The knife looks in great condition to me.
How much is this knife sold by dealers? I can't find this model by WE.
I don't see where the seller said that knife was never carried or LNIB. There was a question by someone at the end of the thread, but It's possible he (the seller ) commented on the second knife in the thread - not this one. Perhaps as a buyer you could have asked a few more Qs. Seller should have said something about the box though when asked. Also, if the seller offered $40 refund and you did say OK - he should send you the money. I'd say the issue here is 20% buyer and 80% seller. Restocking fee is quite interesting. I am not sure I would have started a thread on this one, but I don't see a reason someone should not. I am left with a not so positive impression of the seller here at this time.
You are literally repeating the seller’s argument. That the value of the knife determines whether the seller can get away with misrepresenting it. Honesty should not have price tag.I agree withGastonknife above.

The knife is a Keizer not a WE, my mistake. Also it is $169 full price. May I ask, what is the price threshold after which you think it is justified to complain about bad service and misrepresentation? And, do you think someone who offered $40 partial refund (or $40 restocking fee) would have done it if he didn’t know he did something wrong?
He said that it was unused and that he had just carried it around the house and installed Skiff bearings. In the post, he says the first knife has had Skiff bearings installed. The second knife does not say that.
To me, it's clear that he was talking about the Begleiter being unused... Which is obviously false if you look at the pictures. Setting the damaged box issue aside (which is something that wouldn't bother me), I'd be pissed if someone sold me a knife and misrepresented it as unused. Another for the ignore list I suppose. He hasn’t contacted or refunded me yet. It seems it is the end of it. Thank you all for your follow up and support.Any news
