Before you start laying down mandates or quoting rules, please keep in mind that there wouldn't be a Becker subforum without Bladite. He was collecting Beckers and posting about Beckers back in the days of General and Camillus. He put legs under the subforum you now enjoy. Ethan personally trusted him with the care and growth of this community, and he devotes his time and energy to maintaining the community without pay or much in the way of thanks. While your dissatisfaction is duly noted, you do not get to lay down the boundaries for the entire community or define this particular context by yourself.
Also please keep in mind that manufacturers subforums--especially the better moderated ones like Becker--tend to be left almost entirely to the direction of subforum moderators. Does this practice mean that you cannot voice concerns about moderators? No, it does not. I'm not saying that moderators are beyond reproach. But with a nod of respect toward the work they do, I'd prefer objections or issues with Becker or Ka-Bar moderators be addressed locally and perhaps even privately at first. I actually tend to work in this fashion in Becker and Ka-Bar because of the strong communities in both; a lot of the moderation I do in these two subforums goes on behind the scenes in emails or PMs.
We're all thoughtful human beings, and if there are legitimate issues with content, we can and should discuss them like adults and work them out among ourselves. I know that I have, at times, posted things that I later regretted and even edited or removed. However, if you want to screw up the party for everybody, keep reporting moderator posts and putting such Becker matters in front of the more general staff. Please note that we don't have to have a Snark thread. I started the Off Topic chat thread in Becker. I can make it go away.
