"I'm not gonna miss you" by Glen Campbell. Our family has had some struggles with Alzheimer's disease and this really strikes a chord, no pun intended. I'm still here, but yet I'm gone I don't play guitar or sing my songs They never defined who I am The man that loves you 'til the end You're the last person I will love You're the last face I will recall And best of all, I'm not gonna miss you Not gonna miss you I'm never gonna hold you like I did Or say I love you to the kids You're never gonna see it in my eyes It's not gonna hurt me when you cry I'm never gonna know what you go through All the things I say or do All the hurt and all the pain One thing selfishly remains I'm not gonna miss you I'm not gonna miss you Songwriters RAYMOND, JULIAN / CAMPBELL, GLEN Read more: Glen Campbell - I'm Not Gonna Miss You Lyrics | MetroLyrics
The Verve - Lucky Man https://youtu.be/MH6TJU0qWoY I heard this song right after my daughter was born and it was the expression of my feelings at the time. It still makes me smile every time I hear the song.
Alan Parsons; Turn it Up from their album; Try anything Once When I feel sad or blue I like to turn this one up loud and air out my emotions. "Turn It Up" It's no good believing in somebody else If you can't believe in yourself You give them the reason to take all the power and wealth It's no good you trying to sit on the fence And hope that the trouble will pass 'Cause sitting on fences can make you a pain in the ass If there's something you find to believe in Then the message must get through So don't just sit in silence When you know what to do Turn it up, turn it up, make it louder Turn it up, turn it up, make it louder There's no conversation if nobody speaks And nothing gets done in the end There's no confrontation when fantasy makes you its friend So much injustice, too many lies We don't have to look very far But nothing will change if we leave things the way that they are If there's something you find to believe in Then the message must get through So don't just sit in silence When you know what to do Turn it up, turn it up, make it louder Turn it up, turn it up, make it louder If there's something you find to believe in Then the message must get through So don't just sit in silence When you know what to do Turn it up, turn it up, make it louder Turn it up, turn it up, make it louder
Hurt by Johnny cash is a beautiful song. Interesting fact, it was originally recorded by the rock band nine inch nails. You should listen to that version too. It's very haunting in my opinion. Trent Reznor is an amazing artist.
There's no lyrics or singing, but First Breath After Coma by Explosions in the Sky is incredibly feels-y. It's the song of ultimate spiritual victory.
I know a lot of "meaningful" songs but damned few of them would be classified as "beautiful"..... Most of the stuff I really like is dark, dark, dark. Like Tom Russell's "La Gallieu".... A cute little ditty about Toulous-Lautrec's girlfriend... Or Guy Clark's Desperados Waiting For A Train..... A virtual little novel in song form about coming of age...and Dying.

The Circle Game by Joni Mitchell is one of my favorites. I believe it was first recorded by Tom Rush in 1968. My first exposure was the Tom Rush version.
I'd say some of the most meaningful and influential music has been The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, and Lonerism by Tame Impala. They're both concept albums. Individual songs would be Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin, Endless Shore by Melody's Echo Chamber, and Terrapin Station by the Grateful Dead I could name two dozen but these are all big for me, Connor
Leonard Cohen's "Dance Me To The End Of Love". Nice melody and nice lyrics. Haunting when you understand the meaning behind them.
If there was a like button I'd click it...Mr.Cohen is an amazing songwriter. One of the highlights of my life was seeing him perform live in Las Vegas.
Always liked this one from Mercy Me G2
