Becker 3, 7, 9, 16 Discontinued?

I got an ad from a large online retailer for Knives saying up to 49% off for these 4 models because they are being discontinued. Are they really being discontinued? I am really wondering why the BK9 is being discontinued because isn't it one of the best selling choppers around?
 
I am thinking advertising bs. the 7, 16, and 9 are probably the top sellers.
maybe the seller is losing becker as a supplier.
 
Based on what I found with a quick google search, it seems they are clearing out some old smooth coating stock of the four models, not the current models.
 
My email from knifecenter went to spam today - thank you for the heads up. A couple of BK16s are now heading my way - might snag another 2 later this evening, but wanted everyone to get a fair shot at one before I get greedy.

Just picked up a 16. Really hoping it's a saber grind. I don't think I've ever seen a smooth coated 16 in flat.

I'd buy one of each if I had the money.
 
The picture appears to be saber ground, but the description reads flat grind. What "lies" at the heart of this ad? o_O

Don’t think the smooth was ever a flat ground as the old stamp couldn’t be done on an angled grind, had to have the saber.
 
Ye, knifecenter is throwing one of their famous "sales" Where they massively bloat the price, then discount it to a little below the average price
 
But to answer the question, only the smooth coat version of those knives are being discontinued
 
Just ordered one 16, so hoping is a saber one, haven't see one without the first production run engraving on it...we'll see next week..:D
 
Oh the days when the BK-15 was a discontinued bargain basement buy!
