Becker 3, 7, 9, 16 Discontinued?

Just got home and my sg bk16 was in the mailbox. I wish I’d bought 2 or 3 more but I was reluctant to order more than 1 due to seeing other retailers use the old saber grind pictures for reference and then mail out a ffg instead. This ones getting put up in the safe for a backup for my backup.

Edit: Even after explaining the cool story behind the release of this batch, my wife was still not impressed with my purchase.

The 16s went away as I was still fence sitting waiting to hear if they were saber grind.

My bk9 was stamped, never made the connection that the 16 was Sabre ground, or I’d have ordered one(or 2) of those and my collection would have been complete!

Is the smooth coat easier to strip than the powder coated version? It sure does seem to come off quicker through use

Those are some nice 16's there. I'd get one but I just got a shiny new 7 today and just now after noticing a slight bend in my heavily-used 4 I ended up ordering one more from a local shop.
 
I was thinking of getting the sabre 16 but the ffg is most likely a better slicer.
In that size of blade ffg makes more sense imho
 
Yes ffg is logical but what can I say, I like the looks of a strong saber grind.
