Becker 3, 7, 9, 16 Discontinued?

Just ordered a pair of the smooth finished BK-16s which are clearly saber grind in the illustration. I know the flat grinds are better slicers but saber grinds have their purpose - and a special place in my eye.

Agreed - a smooth coat BK16 has been a white whale in my BK&T collection for a while, so I couldn't pass up. I noticed the BK9s were gone.

If I were a marketing director at KaBar and wanted to move more Becker 1095 CroVan, I would simply periodically discontinue a model. ;)
 
Dang I missed out on the bk16. I love the one that I just gifted my wife and was going to pick one of these saber ground ones up. I snooze, I lose I guess!
 
No need to worry folks, these Beckers aren't going anywhere. The riots that will unfold if Daryl should die, will be nothing compared to what's going to be seen if the most popular Becker models are taken right off the market. Antifa will take one look at what we'll do if the BK9 is discontinued and will be simultaneously impressed and terrified.

None of these are being discontinued in their current configuration in the near term. I found some of the old smooth coats in our warehouse and Knifecenter scooped them up. They have the last of the smooth coats; when they sell through those they are gone.
 
Glad to hear they are not being discontinued!!

Discontinuing the 16 would give Ethan a migrane; the words "discontinuing" and "BK- 9" should never be uttered or typed within the same 24 hour period!

Unless it's in the context of someone saying "I'm discontinuing the use of knife-x because I finally got a BK9!"

I bought the bk16 and just received it today.Its the rare roll stamped saber grind.Im wondering what it’s possibly worth?

If you just bought it, that’s how much it’s worth. Possible a little less if you’ve played with it
