So I started with the BK2 which I got for Christmas in '13. I discovered it when searching for an allaround beefy blade. I was wavering between it and the Gerber LMF. Ultimately the fantastically wonderful Becker handle is what sold me. Having never handled one before it arrived, I depended on reviews an testimonials which most lead me to BF again and again, I decided it was the one. For most of a year I figured this was it, I got my badass blade, I have several other Ka-Bars, what more do I need? Once again, over and over I was drawn to BF to read about the BK2 and see what folks have done with it etc etc... BK9,BK9,the king, I kept seeing this everywhere. So, Santa brought me the king this year! Yay! What more do I need? Got my chopper and all around badass blade and my beefy badass blade, I'm set! So I asked for gift cards from the family so I could buy the Ken Onion work sharp. Meh, I do ok with my smith's and such, I discovered the belt strop, maybe I need a small blade instead. Gift card BK14. How'd I ever live without it? What's this? 5,15,4 rumored to be discontinued? Alright, getem while you can, got gift cards!BK15 very nice! Valentines day? "I need a BK5 Honey, they're on sale!"

Tonight I burned the rest of my gift cards and the 4 and 16 are otw for $10.16 out of pocket :thumbup:
So including Christmas I've binged on 6 Beckers. 9,14,15,5,4,16 in 11 weeks.
I'm still not full...

Doesn't have to be "To make a short story long" like I did, that's just a setup for the thread :D
Even if it one or two, you've just decided to grab a new one for no apparent reason or ya got greedy one day, anything really...
The forums made me do it!
 
Lordy. I started with a BK2 a couple of years ago... Then, within the past month I've acquired a nicely customized used 14, a new 15, a used 16, a new 4, a new 7, and another new 4 (well, it's on the way from Tomar).

Now I'm trying to decide what to get next!

Y'all are awful influences.
 
Hey Winter, we're two of a kind man lol, even joined the same month. My 4 is on its way from Tomar's as well. Glad I'm not alone. See? Feels good to get it out there lol
 
Been on a knife binge myself lately, bought a bk2 last summer, then a bk7 and then in the last couple months I decided to get just about every knife I've been lusting after.

Currently own:
3-bk7
3-bk15
2-bk2
1-bk9
1-bk5
1-bk10
1-bk13
4-Esee/Becker cooking knives

Coming in the mail in the next week:
1-bk9
1-bk11
1-bk16
2-bk13

April 1st (when I get my ebay bucks) I'll get a bk24.


Also waiting on 3 Busse knives to ship and just bought 5 Buck 119 for a beginning Buck collection (had a 119 as a kid and it was the only decent knife I ever had growing up, now they are nostalgic for me).

I know, I have a sickness but what doesn't kill me will only make me stronger!
 
Oh man, this is like therapy haha. Ok then, before my Becker Binge, last year up til Christmas I racked up over 70 old dirty carbon Forgecraft, Ekco Forge, Old Hickory and other random vintage carbon I could get my hands on. And about 10 Ka-Bars in the mix. As affordable as Beckers are I still looked at them as the expensive ones compared to my thrift store future bushcraft mod $1-5 blades. I still love them so, but with spring comin on, the Beckers will rule the roost around here! (My back yard)
 
Ah well, if we're talking about non Beckers too - I have:
-a Candiru
-a Seal Pup (meh)
-Gerber Big Rock (also meh)
-7 different Moras
-Ka-bar Kukri machete
-3 leatherman MTs
-Bunch of SAKs
-More folders than I know what to do with

I wonder if there's a psychological term for what we have? :p
 
I am a proud Beckerholic:

Had 0 Becker's on the 1st of 2014.

I now have bought 20 and currently have 19, including:

1 - Brute
2 - 2's
2 - 4's
2 - 5's
1 - 7
4 - 9's
1 - 10
2 - 11's
1 - 15
2 - 16's
1 - 17

Several are Camillus and one of the 4's is a Cincinnati.

My gateway drug was a micarta handled BK2. I picked it up and was hooked.

I'm not done.

Sooner or later I will find a 6 for something less than an arm and a leg.

My first binge was my first Becker order, after reading all of the reviews I ordered the BK22, BK9, two sets of micarta scales and the BK13 (Remora). I am afraid that there will be more to come....lol!
 
This thread makes me feel so much better. Thought I was alone among ridiculous bingers.

Let's see, I started back in Nov of 13 with a 17 and now have...

Or something like that.

Now that I've admitted it, maybe I can get bold and put them all together for a picture.

It's amazing what a few weeks, a sale or two, a rumor of discontinuing, etc. can do.

When the 12 comes back in stock, I'll be standing there with dollar bills flapping in the wind.

For sure, I had 3 15's in my cart late Monday night , checked the bank in the morn and went to buy... Sold out. It was like my hookup fell through! That's ok I guess cuz I went another route.

For the RBK: its a matter of how fast they go and how many I can afford. (Ties off and slaps vein)

I'm fairly certain there is no need for an RBK in my life - other than to feed the need.
