Yep. At the Spirit of Steel show in Knoxville this past weekend, Knives Illustrated Magazine named the Becker BK-5 their "Best American Made Knife" for the year. A few pics...

I know Ive been eyeing them. I should probably wait for the 6 (yes 6) Ka-bars that are in the mail to get here before I order another ;)
 
I have owned a couple of the originals, and I have a Camilllus or two still. However, I think I like this Ka-Bar version the best.
Ethan was talking about how Jerry Fisk and Tooj revisited the design and made some tweaks for this iteration of the Magnum Camp.
Just based on my first handling of it, I think it's an even better balanced knife. I'm getting a Ka-Bar version for sure, so look for some review stuff soon.
 
That's really cool. This knife has been around for a long time and it's still getting awards. It's a great looking package,too.
 
Its cool to see what is likely the most underrated of the Becker line getting some praise.

the magnum camp mini/tweener is a unbelievable knife. it will be number one, i'm sure :) i've gotta get six for steak knives... and one of these:

maybe :) i want just the holder. the knives it comes with look like crap.
 
No NO NO see...I'm planning on getting the 9 next not the 5. It goes 9 then 5...now I have to buy the 5 before everyone else rushes in to buy them. Congrats on the award!
