Becker BK-5 Magnum Camp Wins Award

I've seen Jerry Fisk peruse this thread once. Was hoping he would chime in.
For those who don't know, the Magnum Camp is his brainchild, and he deserves congratulations here.

On a less serious note, one giant advantage to the BK-5 is that you don't have to send it to Tackle*#$! Forge to have a choil installed. :D

I was not aware that Mr. Fisk was involved in the design. Congrats to him as well. He's knife royalty and a fellow choiler. Good man in my book.

Oh yeah, Fisk's blade, E's handle, Toooj and Fisk worked out a couple of kinks in the design, regarding balance, that due to the era the MagCamp was created, 3D drawings and balance points were never even thought of. It was make it, then change it.

Congrats, Mr. Fisk, look forward to seeing you again in October. Whoops. Get back here, kitteh.

I've been eyeying this one for a bit. Where is the balance at on this guy? What kind of sheath does it come with?

Balance is right on the first finger when held in a standard grip. Sheath is ballistic nylon, with a plastic inser.

Well that tickles me, but what tickles me more that is you guys also give it a thumbs up in usage. Good all around useage is what we had in mind. It was not created to just sell something. Toooj, Ethan and I talked about that. Some knives are like most fishing lures, they catch more fisherman than fish. A knife is a tool and should work like one, Ethan has it right on that. Thats the thing about the BK5, the more you use it the more you go back to it. Thanks guys, I appreciate the good words.

P.S.

Not ordered because it won an award, ordered because its a fantastic knife, the award is just gravy.
Happy birth day to me... happy birth day to me ..lol, since my wife didn't get me a gift..

The Kabar BK5 is from fall 2010 right?

How does it come when I google for video reviews, one from July 2009 shows up

in that case, you are allowed as many knives, as there are knives in the kitchen :>
