The funny thing is, its already a traditional tanto. What we believe to be a tanto is an americanized hybrid of a shinogi zukuri and a chokuto. I agree. The chisel point is not tactical. Its tacticool. The BK-5 is already a fighter. It needs no further development.
Tanto-izing that already wicked point? Sorry guys but I think it's a silly notion.
Thanks, doing final touches, and grinded another one down, doing a classic black cord and white or red leather underwrap. Pics to followWow!!
I like it. I like it a lot!
Nice work my man.
I wanna see it, curious nowSo, just a lil update and a few hints of things to come...Sent out my bk5 yesterday to get modded by our very own Albert Edmonds, looking at reprofiling to a tanto edge, half the top edge sharpened, some jimping on the choil and on the spine, and some mods to a pair of micarta grips...after the knife does return I will be having a custom sheath made probably by AzWelke (as I love the work I have recieved from him as well)... Stay tuned, more to come... Albert, when you read this thread I want you to know you are more then welcome to post updates and pics here as well so people see how you are transforming my knife into a work of art, and once again thanks for taking on my project!!
