Becker ESEE cooking knives info up!

I dig the signature on the Becker Cooking Knives....the only thing it's missing is First Production Run.

Wow, I was thinking just the other day that for all my love of knives, and considering the number I own, a chef's knife is the one I use most often. Guess maybe now I can have a Becker chef...hmmmm

As for the handles, I'm not sure what to think. I kinda like the way they look, though it certainly isn't elegant. I do like rubberized stuff that's not slippery and can be tossed int hte dishwasher (yeah I know! damn near knife abuse that is :) but I still do it) So even though I really don't need another kitchen blade one of these might find it's way into my life at some point.

Congrats E on diversifying the brand!

I'm assuming the look of the knives is to associate them with The Joy of Cooking (a great teaching cookbook), that Ethan currently owns, edits, something - ownership/editorship has been handed down through his family.

I don't personally cook that much, but I may just have to buy these for the family to use.

I'm sure I'll pick up a set. As far as a block goes....just make your own out of bamboo skewers.

To whom it may concern,
Please stop making such awesome tools... my savings account is starving and my girlfriend has sprained eyeballs from constant "rolling".

My girlfriend on the other hand took my Iphone away when I showed her these so she could look at them lol. Pretty sure I'll have to buy them for her when they come out...most likely the full set.

Hmmm, Perk-------ology, yup, i can see where you came up with that ! AWESOME !!! What were we talking about again ?????????????????????

Perkology = boob jobs??? Just wondering. :D

Ahahahaha!!! Love this community! While it is true that I generally spend a minimum of half of every day thinking of Beckers and boobs, I'm not that creative. My last name is Perkins... and I'm horribly vain.

That bamboo skewer idea is great! I now have a project for the weekend...other than the honey-do ones.

I can't believe I didn't realize that Ethan Becker is the author of the Joy of Cooking. I've been using that book for years! Chalk another feather to Uncle E's cap in my eyes.
