Becker ESEE cooking knives info up!

Wow, I was thinking just the other day that for all my love of knives, and considering the number I own, a chef's knife is the one I use most often. Guess maybe now I can have a Becker chef...hmmmm

As for the handles, I'm not sure what to think. I kinda like the way they look, though it certainly isn't elegant. I do like rubberized stuff that's not slippery and can be tossed int hte dishwasher (yeah I know! damn near knife abuse that is :) but I still do it) So even though I really don't need another kitchen blade one of these might find it's way into my life at some point.

Congrats E on diversifying the brand!

I think the handles look VERY ergonomically correct. Can't wait to see for sure.

I handled/used some of the protos last fall -- these are going to be sweet.
The handles are very comfortable.
On the steel choice -- IIRC it's a German kitchen cutlery steel.
for folks who use factory knife blocks, a tip to keep them from dulling your blades is to store your knives edge up. (or buy a block that stores them on their side)

I'm very interested in these knives, but haven't been able to find any pricing info. Has anyone heard anything yet?

Jeff said these are shipping to dealers now! Keep your eyes open...and leave a set for me!

Thanks for the heads up. I need some new kitchen knives. Been waiting on these. Think I'm in for a set.

At $90 from TKC with the ESEE no-questions-asked lifetime warranty, I don't see how you can go wrong. Jeff Randall even stated they'll replace them, even if we use them as throwing knives. Not sure why you'd want to, but I'm on board with that kind of service.

I'm excited for these. I love to cook, and could use some better knives than the ones I've got.

factory blocks are sh*tty.
And that's why we need to get Godspeed or Azwelke on the task of making a workable kydex block design. I think they'd sell :)
looks good, I actually like the handles. Easy to clean and keep up with. It's like Case yella handles- ugly to some but very functional.

Just talked to GPknives. They have a few sets ordered. They are going to call me when they get in. Christie laughed when she answered the phone, asked me what Becker was just released.

There's a set in the hands of USPS for me. Hoping to see them on Saturday!

I just ordered mine last night. I'll post pics when they arrive...
They look like this when they arrive:
