Becker Field Bag Purchase Discussion Thread

Well, one of these days I will grab one.

well, Beckerhead interest is slowing down and/or satisfied, so i figured i'm opening this up to general public, with Ethan's blessing.

so, provide your "want one" replies folx, and we'll see about getting that done.

When talk re-surfaced again recently about the bag & I couldn't get any info from anybody, I emailed WFG asking who, what, where & when.
Answer came today, as mentioned.
I didn't bother to put my name on an indefinite waiting list when it was created here, pretty much lost interest & moved on.

Nice bag, just not needed enough among all the bags I have already to put that much into it, and I'm not bound to instant gratification, but the window of interest had also passed. :)
Been nearly a year.

If you're happy with the bag & price, by all means enjoy. :)

the bag is amazing. so is what it CAME WITH :) price? moo hah hah. you'll never know.

good luck.

When I got my bag, it was definitely worth what I paid. Not just the fact I GOT the bag, but I got it, hand delivered BY Ethan, and I got a pound of bacon from Benton's also HAND DELIVERED, by Ethan. And I got to have lunch with the boss and hear stories of "The good ole days" which would have been worth what I paid for the bag in and of itself. Oh, and E threw in a knife that is not in production, just cause!

I have no doubt the bag's worth its price, just not to me. :)

I'll stick with my Maxpeditions for the heavy-duty shoulder bag uses & my surplus bags for lighter duty.
And the occasional ceremonial outing with the Indy Bag. :)

I don't wear them around town, so looks are not particularly important. If one presents a "militant/military" image, couldn't care less.

I've also found trying to cram too much weight and bulk into a larger bag isn't particularly useful for me, so I can get along without a Becker bag quite easily, and the name (on it or anything else) has no sales appeal to tip the scales in favor of spending the money.
Not even if personally handed to me by the great man, himself. :)

Me passing on it will leave one more available for somebody who'd appreciate it more.
And...you're welcome, whoever you turn out to be. :)

I want one as well! Looks like just the thing I've been looking for.
I guess I have to officially ask in another thread, if I am correct.

Ethan will be reminded to contact you

for both Nemesis034 and GmoneyLuv, it's up to "da man" :>

i'll poke him to contact y'all unless he sees this and gets off his duff...

Though it's hard to say where the man will BE ... he's doing a lot of travel...

Looks like you can order these from walkingfootgear.com now....

Sure can. In early October, I left an email request on their website and finally got an answer a few weeks later. Was going to Knoxville on other business on October 31 so I called Karen and asked if I could stop by to pick up a Becker Field Bag. She asked when I would be there and explained that she didn't have any bags finished but could possibly finish one before I arrived in about three hours. I told her I would appreciate it and got to Walking Foot Gear about three hours later. (Visited Smoky Mtn Knife Works enroute :D)

She had a field bag ready . . . fresh off the sewing line so I brought one home.

Never heard anything from my request here on BF . . . but all's well that ends well.

The bag, while expensive, is really well made and nicely finished . . . no point in me going into the details since they were previously covered in earlier posts.
