Becker Gathering Autumn 2012

I will admit that this photo is a bit unsettling at first glance. However what is hard to see in the pic is Cap was actually checking out the Remora pistol bayonet that was on the gun. Being the owner of both of them and standing right there. (The one in the yellow shirt and plaid jacket) I ASSURE you the gun that was not loaded or even had a mag in it NEVER crossed the path of any living being. Everyone that showed up with firearms excercised the upmost safety and professionalism as they should, and Cap was no exception.

Sure you'll tell us anything, he probably commented on her cooking skills or something. this should be titled DONT MESS WITH THE CAPT. :)

Great timing on the shot of me cutting the rope.

Masterful camera work on all of them.

Hey Jorden. Was in said picture of you cutting the free hanging rope. Did you do that with the M-9? I missed everybody getting a chance to try it out. I was inside playing with Ethans grinder. Funny thing is. There was always so much going on I really never got a chance to play with it much. (The M-9 that is!)

I saw food, guns, and knives. That pretty much automatically makes it a great time.

Food, guns, knives, beer, knowledge, and great people. It was an awesome time!

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed them. People's arms are moving so fast in the rope cutting that capturing the shot is a challenge, I got lucky on the timing of that one and it made for a pretty cool shot.

No, I used my BK-9 on the rope.

I did use your M-9 earlier in the day on some of that willow. I was thoroughly impressed. It seemed to chop well beyond its length class. We were cleanly cutting sticks well over an inch in diameter with minimal effort.

Cool! Well it looks like I'll get a chance to try it out. My neighbors tree is down in MY yard. Which reminds me, I hope everyone stays safe on the east coast. I also wanted to ask you about that holster you had for that sweet ruger you was carrying. Who made it?

Thanks for all the cool pictures Mist. I never get tired of the cooking pictures. Wish i could have been there .

Ross Leather. I just happened to find it at a local gun store. It carries well and as far as I can tell the leather and stitching is up to par.

I just did a quick internet search and found their site. They call it an M9 open bottom belt slide holster.

I could definitely see the M-9 having a lot of chopping power in a small-ish package :)

Thanks Hawkeye, glad you enjoyed them. I know it would be a bit of a trip from your area, but if you ever do make it I'm pretty sure you'll have a great time.

can't really respond to many photos right now, but hey, scorpions and arkanian hitmen, good stuff.

But did anybody try my home-brewed likker? I saw the full bottle sitting on one of the tables in Ethan's shop during the classes...

Thanks for sharing!! Great pics as usual... Looks like a blast..

Thanks man, it was a blast!

I didn't get to. I saw it there, but I'm never the one to open up somebody else's stuff and then I left a day early.

I didnt either, I wonder who got it? Im betting Moose or Derek bogarted it.

Me and Pointy were the last to leave and it was still unopened when we headed out. I meant to get in on that, but it was at the shop and when we were down there it was time to chug water to make up for all the drinking up top. Hopefully it will still be around next time, but if not, you could do worse for taste testers than Ethan Becker.

i was very last to leave, and it was still there. almost brought it down to the house, but i figured Ethan would like to have it for shop company. smelled good. leaked a little. i opened up the bubble wrap with a handy knife, and it was kinda messy - probably a few cc's of liquid escaped (pressure differences). quick wipe down and all was good.
