1311 Replacement? was there something wrong with the first one?

I got an HRLM in yesterday and its lovely... but really I cant wait for that ratweiler !!! everything else fails to make me as happy as that picture makes me lmao
 
Maybe there was an issue with the sheath stressing that area of the knife. Oh, wait...

I got a time frame of 8-16 weeks on my current custom order, if nothing else the swamp has helped teach me patience lol
 
Well Im going to see how this one holds up. I sort of have a thing for big choppers.

I drink around (2) 2 liters a day or about a 12 pack of cans a day....

I have a deal with the little mom and pop store on the corner of my block. 20 (2) liters of pepsi cost me 17 bucks, I pay an even 20 and pick them up every Friday :)
 
Wow. You drink more in a week than I do in a year! When I do have soda, it's Dr Pepper for me.
 
That way too many flavors shoved together for me lol

Use to it cost me 30+ bucks to get 20 of them, it was expensive for me to do this weekly..... Then one day a year or so ago 2 guys was spray painting the side of his store...while he was open... I fixed the problem, and since that day he has given me my pepsi at his cost ( I think its his cost anyway.. not sure don't care...its way cheaper ) I love when people can work together so everyone comes out a winner!
 
Hmm, I can't wait for that azwelke kydex I've ordered for my 14. I really like it, but it is starting to frustrate me that I convex it pretty nicely, shaves armhair and all that good stuff, but when it's been in the sheath for about a week... I can start over again and I haven't even cut a lot of things by then.
As for my Svord Peasant -which of course has no sheath-, I convexed that as well a few months ago and it's still going strong, still cuts paper with ease.
I still find it amazing how well the blades of those two knives match though. The belly on the BK14 is somewhat more pronounced, and the blade is thicker at the spine, but the overall shape and edge length are pretty much the same, whereas the Svord provides more handle length (which I personally don't need, I can get a 4 finger grip on the 14 :-)).
Love 'em both and wouldn't want to be without either one of 'em.
