I just looked up a Svord Peasant... never seen that before, its like a straight razor design?

Wow ww, I guess I'm not an addict, haha. I probably drink a 6 per day though. I've been drinking more tea here lately though.

Hey don't go into denial... 6 a day is still a user, your not getting out of the meetings that easy :)

Or the straight razor is based on similar friction folder designs. It's one of the oldest folding knife designs around actually. You just tighten the screws as much as you want. It's a friction folder design, and the extended tang adds as an extra safety so that the knife can't close on you.
If I recall correctly, the Svord Peasant is based on a very old European design, and is now made being made in New Zealand. It works good, but most -if not all- of them need some tweeking when you get them. The tip on mine was a bit blunt, the knife wasn't very sharp and the grind was somewhat uneven. I made the tip pointy, convexed the edge and added some rubber rings around the screw in the back, so that the metal of the edge doesn't touch the metal from the screw when it's closed. Works great now. For 15 bucks or less, an absolute steal ànd you get to do some tinkering. Ideal workers knife. I use mine pretty much exclusively in the garden, sometimes on hikes.
Nothing to worry about when you lose it since it's so cheap, yet it gets razor sharp rather quickly, and I find that it holds that edge quite well in a gardening role. It's available in different colourations as well. I picked an orange one since that is easy to find on the ground.
They have a smaller size too now, I'll have to look in to those.

That's cool, pretty cheap too! ill have to check one out, thanks for the info.

I used my mora to cut up some pepper jack cheese and then put it back in its sheath and forgot to wash it off.... it has set for several days to a week now...I just thought about it while reading about the svord and went and grabbed it... lmao it has some crazy oxidation all over it... black, and golden colors.... needs a bath lmao

You won't regret spending a few bucks on one and after doing some work on it. Great working knives, really.
I've seen 'em with wood handles (and custom wood or micarta handles) as well, and they can be some real beauties as well.
The plastic looks cheap and flimsy but and works, but hey, the knife is cheap so...:-).

Done by Trooper723 here on Bladeforums I believe.

This was Svord until i got grinder happy with it one knight a while back haha, now its a little carving knife. I also was pretty impressed with the steel especially for the price of the knife.

lmao yea man definitely, it needs cleaned up for sure..... there is still food bits on it... kinda nasty lmao

That's a HRLM, (howling rat little mischief) its discontinued and was a pain in the ass and more expensive than my other rats to get. But i really like the knife... almost as much as an RMD.

Id honestly say go for the RMD, you will like it. The rodent 3 has a small handle, too small for me to use comfortably but the rodent 4 looks perfect. i have a custom 4 on order now but have not held one yet so i cant say for sure. If you are wanting one with the hump handle id say go with the rodent 4 or the new rodent 5 as a first so that the rodent 3s small handle does not discourage you from the knives.... but honestly again the Ratmandu is just hard to beat.

ETA; I have no idea how i said all that without mentioning the rodent solution... if you are wanting a smaller blade, the solution has an extremely comfortable handle .

You can see the difference in the rodent 3 and the rodent solution here...

And yea that drawer is packed... the skeleton handle knives have been removed from the top and given there own drawer to make more room but with the rodent 4 and ratweiler coming i will need to re-think which blades i will display on top...

Rare stuff in the sales section. I'll prob regret some of those later but eh searching is half the fun plus I want a custom something or other made.

Oh, the Blackjack BK5's. I sincerely want one, but just bought the BK10, a Vanatage Pro, and Mother's Day gifts.
