Becker is baaaaack!!!

Mr Ethan Becker has been chatting with us in "General Knife Discussion" talking about it all (thread by Critter), everybody show your support! Thank you Codger :)

I think Kabar is producing some great knives, and the fact they are going to work with becker is great.

I may have to try a becker knife. :)

SWEEET!! I'll finally be able to get my hands on some of his knives!! The prices on Ebay were too high with my budget.

Smart move on KA Bar's part. That will get the Beckers into existing outlets all over the place and they should be able to manage production well too.

The best way I know of to show our Support for the Company is to Buy Ka Bar/Beckers as soon as they come to market.

Hopefully they will also be sold at a reasonable price.

I'd like to see what they come up with for a folder. Just hope it's made here in the states.

I will own a necker! that is awesome! can't wait to crack open my first beer with it!:D

the waiting begins...

Thanks Codger, great news!

I want to see Kabar do some justice to those Camillus/Becker square plastic hand grips!
Kabar does a fine job with Carbon steels, so the blades themselves should be fine.

I will finally be able to cord-wrap some more neckers!! woohoo!!

RUn over to the General Knife DIscussion forum and read Ethan's posts. Yeah, a long thread, I know, but he does give out some interesting hints.

1095? Yeah, great cutlery steel, better with a super heat treat! Steels were hinted at as being pattern specific. I guess we shall see what we shall see when we see it!

Ka-Bar uses Micarta on the D2 Impact line so who knows, Becker blade shape with Micarta handles sounds good !!!

Hopefully this means that I'll be able to get myself a Companion in the reasonably near future. I remember looking at those in an Atlanta Cutlery catalog years ago but never ordered one for some reason. Then I got involved in other things and didn't pay much attention to knives for a while, and when I did start looking around at them again it was not too long after Camillus closed their doors and I was pretty much resigned to the idea that I'd never own one. I'm not going to hold my breath because I know that it's probably going to take some time to get knives into production and out to the retailers, but I'll be looking forward to getting my hands on a few Beckers when they finally hit the shelves.
