I was thinking of going back...S30V with micarta grips..say $379 MSRP..street price of around $250. I would buy the hell outta one!

I like this.

This one kind of reminds me of the knife from Rambo 4. Personally I thought it was the coolest of the Rambo knives.

i think fiskars makes one of those :> similar handle too. saw them at SmallMart. really.

yeah, it does. suddenly a lot of people are making this pattern, but honestly, 3/8 spine convexed down to something really fine, and a tapered handle. perhaps hard to do in a production, but man, that would be bad ass... er, zombie tools has something along those lines in 5160; HI does too, but it's smaller and thinner than i'd like. plus of course, the rambo model, and the one done by "the man"; koster perhaps? and that other guy who won't sell his iconic recurve, is somewhat like it... that slater guy? yeah, him. oh, and CRKT has a razel not unlike that.

he also sells a modified version of the rambo 4 knife he calls the "CLEAVING CAMP KNIFE" my dad loved my kuhkri so much and is a big fan of that americanized parang style machete that gil hibben designed that hes buying one from dargonforge only hes having it customized like i did my kukri

this is the version michael makes although its unfinished in the pic

he would normally just wrap the handle in paracord like my kukri but my dad is going to have him add custom handles and pins when he eventually orders his

silverthorn i hope you dont mind but i took some artistic liberties with your wilderness sword design slightly shorter blade longer tip and a raised back axe blade

Thanks for keeping up this great thread SilentJohn. I have been enjoying it since I was an unregistered lurker with dreams of being a beckerhead. And its still going. :thumbup:

i'm against any knife or blade that introduces stress risers in the spine, but were it not for that, i would buy one as fast as a mall ninja drawing a credit card :>
